Selecia,

This is a great article. When sourpusses and gloom and doomsayers, like Joe Decaro and TA, post negative blurbs about their fellow Christians, here is an inspiring story about people banding together across minor theosophical differences to assure health within the greater community of the Faithful.

This story is a real piece of evidence that TEC actually has a very resilient foundation in Christ. Furthermore, it should also serve those who choose to walk a different path under their self-proclaimed banner of a new Orthodoxy as they part ways from TEC.

It shows that the Community of the Faithful is not dependent upon the real estate. But is, instead, dependent upon their faith.

"For three and a half years after the January 1991 fire, the Methodist church regularly housed the Episcopalian (sic) church's members and allowed them to meet there while construction was under way to repair their church ..."

This only proves that Methodists treat Episcopalians better than Episcopalians treat each other.

Fire proof faith or After Devestating Fire, Church Was Strengthened.....So who has a degree in JOURNALISM???? Not me, but from the headlines, who would know?

The first one sounds like fire and brimstone Baptists.....The second headline lets you know something terrible was overcome.

Headlines are written by layout editors, not writers; heads differ for different newspapers to fit whatever space is available, but the story lead on the newswire will always appear the same.

I modify the headlines all the time to correct something or make it POP.
