Obama seeks $1.6 trillion in tax increases: WSJ Stories You Might Like

By Robert Schroeder
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch)

-- The White House wants both $1.6 trillion in tax increases as part of a fiscal cliff deal as well as a "permanent" increase in the U.S. debt ceiling, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing congressional Republican aides. In addition, the Obama administration is asking for at least $50 billion in new spending to spur the economy and wants to extend the current payroll-tax cut. House Speaker John Boehner said earlier Thursday that any increase in the debt ceiling would come with a "price tag," meaning spending cuts in exchange for raising the limit.

It appears that the president of Egypt is doing the same thing only all at once. Obama is right behind his Muslim brother.

Doesn't change the fact of what he is trying to do. Obama says a lot of stuff but seldom does it.

Obama has approved 6,000 new regulations along with unlimited power to increase debt limit, any doubt he doesn't want to be a dictator?

When Obama doesn't meet with his job committee for almost a year, runs the national debt to 16 trillion dollars, and refuses to talk to congress about cutting spending then was absolute control of raising the debt limit can only be seen as a dictator. You ask for it.
