I went up to the High Rolls festival for the first time, took my children, thought it would be a fun filled afternoon. Took us about 3 minutes to walk around and 'experience' everything. It consisted of several jars (no kidding, several) of over priced apple butter, Slices of pie that looked good you could get ice cream on, and pie to purchase. All in one room, on two tables. There was food set up to purchase, nothing special, nice little fundraise. A table outside where you could buy a bushel of apples for $30 or $1 a lb. Two vendors - one selling hand made wood products that was nice and one guy from eastern NM who had really beautiful hand made rocking chairs well worth the money. The kids area was fine - blow ups to bounce around on. But I was hoping for more local vendors selling crafts and apple products, some Apple Cider (vs the watery Apple Drink) for sale, a variety of pies, maybe some turnovers. Honest to goodness, it tooked longer to wait to park, walk to the festival than it took to walk around and leave. IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME. It could have been great. wont be going up for the cherry festival. to far away for nothing.
