When did murder become a misdemeanor? Or was that a crooked deal by Fusselmen to get relected by bringing charges up on this guy about the time he says he is going to run for relection and win and let the guy walk with a 8 day shock and 2 years on paper. So what do others think?

Well down south they make special trails for amish buggies along side of major highways for a reason. I have been behind many buggies that are not completely on the shoulder of the highway. I can see how easy it could be to hit one. I feel sorry for the guy that hit him because of all the self torrment he must be putting himself through and worry of conviction. I dont think he should be punished at all. It was an accident. They happen everyday. Mostly involving two cars, but because this was a 2 mile an hour amish buggy the man that hits him is being cruicified. The amish need to realize that traveling on major highways in a 2 mile an hour buggy with 70 mile an hour vehicles is a road hazard and can result in death. It happens. Its an accident. An unfortunate one at that, but I am so glad Mr. Flemming did not go to prision for something as such.

Curious your right it was a accident but it could have been a car a person that he hit not paying attention by texting he was on the shoulder of the highway. I am not taking sides my bitch is with the judicial system. Somebody dropped the ball somewhere.

You feel bad for the guy that was so busy texting on his phone that he killed an innocent man?

You do know he made zero effort to avoid the crash. He didn't brake or swerve, but plowed into this guy at 70+ MPH.

It wouldn't have mattered if it were a kid on a bike, a stranded motorist, a Hwy patrol, any of them would have been dead. So don't start saying its the amish guys fault.

I wasnt saying it was the amish guys fault. I am saying its a hazard for the amish to be on the highways. They proved the guy that hit him was not texting. How many drunk drivers that kill innocent people get convictions? exactly

Not sure of this but I am pretty sure his phone records showed his last text was 43 seconds before crash. At 70 mile a hour not much time. And if they did have that proof how could it be a misdemeanor? Or how did they get this threw out of court so I'll know in case I am on my phone and I run over a man a buggy and a horse!

Bear there is always some dumbass that has to open there stupid mouth. This could have been just as easy been apart of your family or mine. So if this guy was messing with his phone and run over part of your family or a friend and the guy got of with a misdemeanor you would'nt be shooting off your mouth.

That's different, my family and I make a contribution to society and the community, the amish just take up space and are creepy. It's addition by subtraction really.

Amish people are inbred pedophiles. Is it sad that one of them died, yes. But there's a certain irony to the fact that a buggy driving amish got taken out by a person driving a car using a cell phone. I'm sure the person who killed the guy feels horrible, but there's a good chance that guy will go on to learn something from the incident and better himself/the community. Aside from giant globs of poop on the road, and some kick ass applebutter, what do the amish contribute?
