Can't understand why folks don't lock their cars at night. Hope they catch whomever is responsible.

Out of town thieves frequent this area, hit hard, and then disappear for months or years. Be vigilant.
Add that fact that there is near 20% unemployment in Lake County, we will be robbed much more frequently.

Miserable POS thief(s)! More meth-head losers who are trailer-trash, welfare cheating morons who wont work for a dime but will steal, pilfer and rape our women! But dont worry, we will hunt them down and throw then in prison where they will meet BUBA and get it in the rear end!

Maybe they are renters.

One theory: People who can't sell their houses in Hidden Valley Lake do not screen prospective tenants. Their children wander at night with no supervision. So, they walk around looking for "something to do."

Where is HVL security when these kids were out past curfew? They seem to do a good job at harassing the ones walking home (mine) and fine them (me) for being out two seconds later than they should be. It's not the fault of ALL tenants "Lost Valley." Get a grip.

I wonder why anyone has to lock their cars. Most of the time car theft is done by teenagers looking for a thrill and some loot. They feel less guilty about robbing a car because it has more detatchment in their eyes. I have to say though that asking why people leave their cars unlocked is the wrong question. They question is why should people have to lock their cars, HVL has security, they are suppose to have 24hr monitoring of people coming in and leaving the premises. Thats what people pay the monthly dues for..if they can't do the job then those of you living there should have to pay them for that, and a price reduction in HV is in order. Sorry to be mean about it, but if your money is not getting results then you shouldn't be obligated to pay for it.

HVL security make the cops on Reno 911 look like an ace police force.

so how many want-a be cop are at HV besides the gate keeper . maybe they were in on it . guess everyone had better gat a alarm for the wheels as well as the home . and as for out of towners gettingb in the camp ground, how do they do that ? were the group that rob the Flyers station part of the group that broke into the cars ? time to put a reward out for the scums .

They are probably robbing cars so they will be able to pay their homeowners dues!

Because they are unsupervised teenagers having "fun". They want the homeowners to know that they were in the car rooting around looking for buried treasure. They feel that anyone who leaves their car unlocked is "asking for it". This is HVL's version of a "wilding".

Barney Fife and Sergeant Woody were busy giving bogus tickets and playing "gotcha" with the people who pay their salary.

I caught two youths in my driveway at 1:30 in the morning and called security. They were on my street within minutes and detained them. But there was nothing to charge them with. They were both 18. And when I told them to leave, they did.

I wish I had waited a few minutes so they actually had time to take something. Funny how the break ins seem to have stopped after that though.

But I wouldn't expect HVL Security to be staking out my house for something like this. I called them, they responded, that's their job. I think people have some really unrealistic expectations.
