It's not really all that upscale... It's not Zabar's of New York! Doesn't have even as good of a food/wine selection as a World Market store. Plus, I just got home with a bottle of Simi Merlot that I realized I was charged overcharged $5 for it, and the posted price was $3 more than I am used to paying in Austin... So basically I paid $8 more for the same wine by the time I was done. Not worth a trip back, but enough to keep me from going there for wine next time. I definitely didn't forget I was in the RGV.

Of curious Feldman's Market Center of the lower valley is not going to meet the same standarders as N.Y! But if you take a good look at the lower valey this business is ahead of its time. There is no other place that offers what Feldman's offers! They DO offer items that no one else does. And as for the price it all depends on the state tax and pay per hour. This is a store ahead of its time - for the lower valley. So don't talk smack unless you live here. This is a great store and it will succeed.

yoU CAN ALways get wine over the web, if you are silly enough not to check your sales receipt before you walk away from any transaction. On the "OH WOW" scale the valley (valle) has an average per capita of 15-16k approx. So be happy with Feldman's because there is nothing else and they are making an effort to bring a little culture to the vally. Hey they got me my Rolling Rock keg THEY ARE THE GREATEST.

Make us forget we are in the RGV, yea right.

The 103 degree heat, mexican plates (on the cars)all around, and mexicans everywhere, yep I'm still in the RGV even though I'm at a fancy store.

Did I forget the palmtrees? Oh, and the half price paycheck, compared to anywhere north of the checkpoints, dont you just love the valle?

I still like it down here, only place you can live amongst a majority of Hispanics in Texas, or one of the only places, besides, Laredo and El Paso.

I wish they would get some upscale wages though, now that would be newsworthy.

i am not sure what that guy was talking about the merlot, i was in there the other day and bought 2 cases of wine, they treated me like a king. as for the food, show me any other restaurant that has a better, cleaner, more well thought out menu. as for zabars, that place sucks, i have been there many times and it smells so bad in there. you could have said dean and deluca instead. The people at Feldmans Market Center treated me with respect, were very curtious, and i felt like i wasnt in the rgv.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Cancer

You've got high hopes about someone or something today, and you're confident that everything will turn out well. If a positive attitude is a guarantee of a positive outcome then you have nothing to worry about. But is it? There's a chance that you're being far too optimistic, and confusing fantasy with fact. If so, you'll be in for a big disappointment.
