Good Samaritan foils robbery try in Hicksville

What a dope you are! The police can't be everywhere at once. You live in a fantasy world.

Give credit to the Good Samaritan for what he did. To blame the police is nonsense. There are only so many patrol officers out on the street at any time of day or night and you have no clue as to how many calls they get and are on in one shift.

If you doubt me, try calling your local precinct if you have a noise complaint. Do you think they can just show up? Calls are prioritized and given out. Furthermore, a patrol unit cannot just pick up and leave a job. There's a procedure involved and if you're getting attacked one minute and the cops are assigned to your call, you wouldn't want them to leave you when you're getting the stuffings beaten out of you.

When I was in my twenties, my neighbor in Manhattan an old French woman yelled "Help! He's got a knife!" outside the front door of our brownstone apartment house. Somehow, I opened the front door, grabbed her coat, pulled her in and slammed the door shut. Another time I met a burglar in the hallway hopped up on drugs. I became a killer and he ran. You'd be amazed what you are capable of.
