They seem competent but don't let that fool you. They contacted my insurance company for "pre-approval" of various dental procedures before even telling me that I needed anything done! When the approval was obtained they tried to schedule me for several invasive, sugical procedures WITHOUT EVER TELLING ME WHY THE PROCEDURE / SURGERY WAS NEEDED. No diagnosis, no explanation just, "This was approved by your insurance, we need to schedule it." And don't even try to call and ask the dentist a question either before or after a procedure. I called twice (once last year and once this year) and was only able to get a receptionist or a hygienist, I was never able to speak w/ a dentist but rather I told I could make an appointment to speak w/ a dentist. I do NOT recommend this dental practice - they are bordering on fraudulent.

Boardering on Fraudulent ? Obviously you need to see an Eye Doctor too..They've definately crossed the line here and YOU as a concerned citizen need to call your insurance provider and make them aware of all that you have posted on this blog --That should assure that they will have their practice removed and reported to the Insurance Commision and very likely lose their standing and thereby be prevented from victimizing and scamming less than intelligent folks with Dental Issues.

What exactly was done to you that was so horrible? They submitted for pre-approvals. Perfectly legal. You signed a consent to allow your dentist to communicate wih your dental benefits provider. Told you they got approvals. Didn't bill anything that they didn't do, so no fraud was committed legally. Maybe they weren't communicating well with you, and should've been more attentive, and caring, and should've explained the treatment. But all they are guilty of is bad chair side manner. That's not illegal. Yah phone your insurance company. Tell them all this. Their response will be... And so what?

I have used a couple of dentist/practioners over 30 years and find "Confident" on par or better than those I have dealt with in Long Island and NYC. I particularly thank them from saving one of my teeth that I had written off and expected to fall out or have to be extracted. My previous treatments and consults had said that I would require extensive gum treatment and maybe it could be saved. Confident suggested and fully explained and implimented the treatment and minimal cost since it wasn't covered by insurance. Best thing that has probably happended in my mouth in over 50 years of dental treatment. JUST WATCH THE AMOUNT OF XRAYS THEY GIVE; IT HELPS TO GET THINGS RIGHT DURING ROOT CANALS, ETC., BUT THE LESS THE BETTER SO BE YOUR OWN MONITOR IN THIS WITH THEM. I reccomend them and this is unsolicited. Just was getting ready to make an appt. for another cleaning when I figured I'd give mhy experience. By the way, I'm a retired law enforccement person, so I trust NO ONE!!! They seem to be okay to me.
