Anyone know what happened to Blue Ridge Motors? Their car sales lot is empty and their website has been suspended.

Lord, don't tell me you've never heard of Bob Famous. He was Blue Ridge Motors animated spokesman in the singing car commericals. The cars were always pulling stunts on him, like putting Kick Me signs on his back or snatching his toupee....always a laugh.

We made our millions ripping off the residents of North Carolina with our crappy cars and all our bogus fees and surcharges and extremely high interest rates...so now we're burning in Hell!

Yea, I know exactly what happened. The owner and D. Setzer and Mary A Hilton were able to con numerous investors into putting money into that used car lot and then they paid themselves hundreds of thousands a year and blew the rest of the money on remodeling the business - they were selling $2000 dollar cars for $8000 and then when the customers wrecked or didn't pay and they had to repo the cars they couldn't resell them because they were pieces of junk to start with and when they got them back they were the same pieces of junk with even higher mileage. Hope those con artists all end up in jail when those investors sue them.

excuse some of Bob's comments above he is still a slight bit bitter about being fired and me leaving him. If anyone out there has one of those crappy Blue Ridge cars I wouldn't bother paying for it - my sources are telling me that they can't even afford to pay a repo man to pick up cars - so maybe you should drop the owner a line after he checks out of the psycho ward over at Frye and let him know you appreciate your now free piece of crap he sold you. If you are planning on still paying for your piece of crap make sure you use that GREAT warranty they made you buy and then when they don't honor your warranty make sure you get in the extremely long line to sue them

Glad to hear that those legalized loan sharks got what they had coming to them. I was forced to buy a car from them due to a divorce that left me with bad credit and within one week of me getting my car the transmission blew - they were suppossed to fix it per their "service and warranty contract" that they force you to buy - but after my car was towed up their I called them for over a month and always got some bogus crap from the service department and from that witch Mary Anne Hilton. That was a few months ago - then I went up their and POOF my car had disappeared along with the rest of their inventory - I've got a good lawyer working on this - I think they actually tried to get him to invest in that place! I love my new Kia that I bought from Paramount - I guess I got the last laugh!

Hey Concerned -
Any mechanic can take that on time device off your car - or they can disable it just by disconnecting the wires. Look on your contract and see who the actual Finance Company is because they had around 30 different Finance Companies - they all have crazy names like "Home Run Financial or 3 Friends Finance Company" - Post back on here which one it is and I might be able to give you some further info on taking action against them

If you almost have your car paid for then you should definitely pay it off. You do have the right to make them abide by the service contracts. You should contact an attorney about the contract and see if he would take your case on contingency - If I was an attorney I would run an advertisement in the paper regarding Blue Ridge Motors because a class action lawsuit could easily be filed against them. Blue Ridge was breaking many laws and they should have to pay for their actions.

So, Im tring to find out whats the process if a company goes out of buisness. I am still calling in to make my payments, and no one from there told me shit. I was disappointed to know that Blue Ridge Motors was not open and I found this information out over the Internet. Has anyone hooked up with a good lawyer? If so, post a message. This sucks, they owe me money for a heater core being replaced because their lazy ass service department couldnt fix it properly.

If you find a lawyer I heard that they are bankrupt so I don't think you would get anything from them. I'm still paying for my car too and I have had some problems with it. Every time I call there that biatch Mary Ann Hilton just makes up some lame excuse and puts me off. They just act like they have done you the greatest favor by selling you one of there pieces of shiat - they make me sick - I hope they all end of in jail.

Hey Blue Ridge Victims,
I just found out that Blue Ridge Motors was not only requiring all of their customers to buy gap insurance but they were also writing their own gap insurance. It is against the law to require anyone purchasing a car to buy gap insurance. They also were not licensed by the State of North Carolina's Insurance Commissioner to even write gap insurance which obviously is against the law. I know these two things for a fact because I contacted the NC Commissioner of Insurance office. They are going to begin an investigation immediately. If you have one of their cars you should contact the NC Commissioner of Insurance at 1-800-Jim-Long. I hope that Wayne Joyner, Darnell Setzer and Mary Ann Hilton get what they have coming to them. Gee I wonder if Darnell still has any friends since she conned all her friends into investing in that car lot. What a con artist! I guess she probably doesn't care if she has friends or not since she is filthy rich off of their money. Maybe she can buy some new friends. I think Wayne Joyner was smart for checking into the crazy ward - that way he can probably avoid jail time. Maybe Darnell and Mary Ann should do the same thing.
