Bob Evans in Hickory is HORRIBLE!!!

Bob Evans in Hickory I think is, by far, one of the worst restaurants in the area. My husband still likes to get take out from them every now and then because he likes the food and we both used to work at a different Bob Evans a very long time ago (in high school and college). It seems as if the one in Hickory has the worst customer service. It never fails, every time we go there our service is slow and our order is messed up every time. Also, if I call for carry-out, the servers seem annoyed we are calling. We got a carry out order a few days ago and when my husband arrived to pick it up, a female manager bagged up the order and it was missing both a salad and cottage cheese. If the management can't bother to do their job right, why should the rest of the wait staff bother to get it right? I know where ever you go to eat, you are bound to get bad service at one point or another but it seems like every single time we go there is some sort of issue. After this last time, I am not planning on going back anymore. Has anyone else been having problems with them too? With all of the people that are out of work in this area they should be able to hire a few at least semi-intelligent people there.

Went there when they first opened. Spent the rest of the night sick as a dog(meatloaf). Doctor said food poisoning. Will never go back there for any reason. POOR, POOR managagement and terrible out look for/with people. Close it tomorrow would be OK with me.

The waitress farted when she set down the food! My wife could not eat. I just burped back at her and farted twice. I love that F... Restaurant!!!!

Read some of the others responses,Why have upscale when there is no reason to?I do not work in the restaurant business-thankfully-I had the good sense to earn my Degree and get a real job.

Wow. Going out to get a real job. How degrading. Remember that line when you are at some other restaurant (obviously, not Bob Evans) and someone COOKS your food and then SERVES it to you. If they didn't have that job, you wouldn't have the luxury to eat out.

all of them are bad - i have been on business trips where my group has decided to eat there , i did not get sick but the food is so bland i thought i was eating at the hospital or j&s cafeteria !

I have the luxury of eating at real restaurants with real chefs.I have a kitchen that is state of the art.I prefer preparing my own meals.I believe that if a person doesn't care enough to be successful,than they don't care about others.Self respect is earned.People who complain make me ill.Fix a problem-don't cry on and on and slander others.People DO NOT LIKE WHINERS!!!!!

i have had what you think is a real job (the 6 figure income) had very expensive meals in major cities across this country- but I never ever thought i was better than anyone else & that they are no better than me- like you just come across to us! The comments were made are just stating some opinions of concern citizens that spent their hard earned money for a less than tasty meal.As hard as the dollar is to make nowdays even a screwup at a drivethru is a major crime!

The ENTIRE contry is having a tough time.Everyone is on the same playing field.Some just play the game a little better.No one implied being any better than the next person,YOU took it that way.I guess I would be a little gun shy if I USED TO MAKE six figures.If you can't deal with the forums,I can see why.Only the strong Survive.Do you need a tissue?

"yea wrong" just rememeber the toes you step on today could be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow --or-- be nice to the people as you pass them on the way up the ladder- you will meet them on the way down ! judging by your comments--i have worked with and against people like you in my life and let me tell you from my experience that it is more fun working against arrogant people- i hate to have a battle of wits with a unarmed person!!!!!
