Should also consider the federal government just outright taking over all grocery stores to monitor how much bad food people buy. Cookies, potato chips, candy and such would be rationed to ensure that overconsumption is controlled. Sort of like back in WWII when gasoline was rationed.

If that doesn't work, then require people to report to the health dept once a month for a weigh in. If you come in over the federally mandated range, then would only be allowed to eat vegetables and such to get back in compliance, and maybe even force to exercise in a government facility.

One other thing, California was very smart to outlaw toys in McDonalds happy meals. It should be a federal law as well.

Drag racing should be outlawed, as well as all motorsports, as they waste fuel and pollute the environment. Cars should not be capable to go over the speed limit (70mph) by law, and all vehicles should have to get 30mph no matter what.
Do you know how much money motorsports put int our economy??
Sure ya don't:::

That 70mph speed limit??? That must be the track record at your local race track,LMAO!!!!

You can't think for yourself? Is that it? You need Big Bro government to take care of you; tell you what to eat, what to wear, what to drink, how fast you can drive, and all the other nonsensical crap you posted.

Bloomberg is an idiot, willing to take away your consciousness so you can't think for yourself, make your own decisions and live your own life as you choose.

"Good health czar?!" ~ LOL!!!!

If you not joking you are plum loco! and need to go live in a bubble somewhere!

It’s so sad and pathetic; I can’t help but feel sorry for your idiotic whining about “Big Gov’t”! Gov’t is actually smaller today than it was 50 or sixty years ago. Obviously, the founding fathers envisioned a national government with explicit and restricted responsibilities but they had no idea and no way to know the world would turn into a frantic and self-perpetuating consumer economy, led by the US, that would eat up everything around it if you’d let it. Why can’t you at least inform your-t-bag-selves before you make f-ing idiots out of yourselves? Obama actually has 270,000 fewer employees than there were 30 years ago!

Obviously you are voting for another 4 years with this president.
Obviously you don't have children and grandchildren who will have to be paying for a much larger deficit than we have now!!!
Obviously you have no idea what is going on out there in our Nation. We need a change for the better this November, 2012.

Cannot outlaw fried food, but can add $1/serving fat tax, as well as $1/serving fat tax on donuts, soda, fried chicken, hamburgers, french fries, coffee (caffiene is bad on your heart)and anything else (especially alcoholic beverages) the good health czar deems necessary.
Actually, up to 3 cups of coffee a day is conducive to fewer incidents of prostate cancer in men. Get the facts right, even when your wrong. The way to deal with these kinds of problems is education in the home. Unfortunately, when you have parents or guardians who, all to often abuse the same common-sense 'rules' we all should live by, then the children won't get much in the way of common-sense nutrition, or any other rules to live by. A major problem with this society. But under no circumstances should the government be mandating this sort of thing. So I'm thinking your joking or just out of the loop when it comes to government.

This is not about Obama's employees.....
This person is talking about government running our personal lives. This is a big no no.....when we do things that have no affect on others - when we make a family decision - when we believe in something that does not alter other people's choices or interfere in others' lives,(and that's the big one: interfere in other people's lives)- like what we choose to eat, whether or not we know it's healthy or not, is not anyone's business. You liberals want government to tell you what's good for you, like mommy use to do.......How in the he*l would they know what's good for each any every individual of us? I am not gay, but I believe that if people are and choose that lifestyle, as long as what they do has no affect on me, I could not care less. And I do have gay friends. It's when their choices (and anyone else's) overlap mine that I complain.

Government needs to take care of the business of government, not the people's lives. If someone is 100# overweight, don't you think they know it's not healthy to be out of the BMI? If they still know this and choose to eat Big Mac's how is it your business? And don't give me the lowdown about how your insurance pays for their health care.....that's so bogus. That's a whole other story.

Aren't you sick of rules and regulations, laws invented that spy on you, tap your phone conversations, and now want to take over the internet - so-called cameras everywhere you go, and now drones flying across the US skies...whatever the he*l that means to accomplish!

Gads there are thousands of others! The tea party stands for Life and Liberty and a return to the Constitution. I see nothing wrong with that - sorry that you do!

I would expect that kind of a reply from you because you don't have an argument and you know darn well that what I said is true,(re: too much government in our personal lives.) You know you don't have a right to tell your neighbor he has to live like you do. You know there are camera's all over you in California, and you know when they do attempt to control the internet, yours will be included. And you know the laws in Oakland are a lot stricter and more enforced than they are in Murray. And you know your State is trillions of dollars in the hole, because of all the illegals feeding off the taxpayers. And you know that Californians are exiting and moving over the State line to Arizona. But of course you will deny all of this, and it's ok with me....really, no skin off my nose. Like I said, I don't have to live with it, so it's yours to deal with.

Commonsense rules make you keen to do things in the most organized, efficient and practical way you can manage. It's a good day for making serious decisions, especially if you can discuss them first with people whose opinions you respect. But make sure you've got all the facts before making up your mind.
