Geez another model citizen victimized by the court system! 14 years might take the wind out of his sails, but I doubt it. I am sure there are tons of lawyer jokes in this, can't wait to read the other posts!!

It might not "help" but you could feel better. It also provides this newspaper with something to print and let's face it, the newspaper biz isn't what it used to be.

"The incident was one of several in Lehman's long criminal history, which includes assault, armed robbery and an armed escape from custody, according to the criminal complaint in the case."

Let's see if we can rehabilitate him again..........I am sure he will be a model inmate and turn his life over to God, then get released early.

Seriously? People are actually defending this thug?

And he only got an additional six months for the assault? His sentence should have doubled. Send him away and throw away the key.

Sounds like there are some crackpots in here who have not been happy with their own results from utilizing public defenders. Look at it this way, you idiot thugs can live vicariously through this loser.
This habitual offender can rot in Moose Lake as far as I am concerned.

The courts were pushing him around Little Willy?! Really? Way to project your personal issues of "unjust persecution" willy!

A fat, stupid loser with a long criminal past beats up the only person defending him in his assault trail, and that in your tiny, damaged brain is the way to make people listen? Wow.

You are a Class A Moron Little Willy...enjoy your jail cell next to his. You can both complain how wrong the world is for NOT giving you all you feel should be yours, and for society NOT understanding why you should use a simple assault with a knife or a butt-kicking of your lawyer, in order to get what you want. Poor, poor entitled YOU.

I might have some sympathy for this guy if I thought there was any chance he was innocent. But he really didn't leave much room for doubt.

Nice!! A lawyer gets beat up and some of you fools on this board are defending him. More lawyers need a good beating.

Way to go Lehman!!!

If you knew what you were talking about, you might understand some of those 'public pretenders' are also some of the most talented. Low pay d/n necessarily equate to low skill. Sabotage? Uhm-hmm, bet you were a model 'client!'

Just to correct the news article, he didn't lose his right to counsel, he just doesn't get another one appointed to him at tax-payer expense. That's hardly unfair. If someone is still willing to represent this thug, they can.

Everyone hates a lawyer until you need one. And dudes like this always think they're being treated unfairly, even where they get the best representation. Part of the victim mentality. This guy would have punched out Clarence Darrow, because he couldn't prevent him from being punished for knifing his neighbors over a stereo. Loser.
