Hiawatha Wal-Mart needs more space where the carts are stored. It's so congested when customers are coming in to get their carts. Everytime I go into that store I think of all the extra room all the other Wal-Marts have. I mean it's only an arms length away from the womens clothing I actually got my cart stuck yesterday on the clothing stand on the corner of that clothing section. What do you think?

The sad part - Wal-Mart Corporate spends millions on store layout. The reason it is so tight is because their research shows people are more interested in cheap than comfort. If you ever travel and stop at other Wal-Marts - you'll find ours is still rather spacious! I've seen a few in Kansas City that are more for comfort but my experience in rural areas it's all about how much crap they can stuff into the space.

As for 'Cart Congestion' that is because - when was the last time you had the 'Greeter' give you a cart? In most other stores - that's part of their job.

Bottom line to Wal-Mart: Ya'll want cheap - here ya go!

Day before yesterday, the last time I was in WalMart, the young gentleman greeter gave me a cart. He had 2 out and ready to go. After I took mine, he went to the rack and got another to replace it. When he is on duty, he always offers me a cart when I come in.

None the less Hiawatha Cart section is too congested and to put all that clearance crap right in front of the walkway makes it even worse. Put that crap outside in the gardens section. There is plenty of space out there. Duh.....Poor management!

Poor management would be to put it out in the garden section in the rain, snow, and other weather elements. The idea is to put it where it will tempt customers. But maybe they should put it back where it used to be.

They moved it there to help sell it. Not much was getting sold where it was.

Not happy at all with Hiawatha WalMart Tire and Lube Express. I arrived at Walmart on a Friday around 4:25 p.m. to get oil changed in car and waited at counter for quite some time for clerk to appear. She finally came in from the shop area. I had waited for 10-15 minutes even walking to the Customer Service Desk so they could call someone to help. When I told her I had been waiting a long time, it didn't seem to bother her. Can't believe they left that counter open with no one around. I told her I needed an oil change but she said that they had a tire to fix and an oil change and the tech was going home at 5 pm. I said I had driven 40 miles to get the oil change, but didn't seem to matter. I asked for a manager, but just the same old not too caring attitude when a manager showed up after another 5 yo 7 minutes. I asked for a complaint form and was told to call the 1 800 WALMART number which I did. That 800 will also connect you to any store so I called the Hiawathe Walmart about 10 minutes after I left. Behold, I asked what time the Tire and Lube Shop would close that day and they told me at 7:00 p.m. If you have received this kind of service at the Hiawatha Walmart Tire and Lube shop, you need to report it. Yes, I like to go home also at the end of my shift, but if they advertise that it will be open until 7;00 P.M., then it should be. Also, I am guessing the clerk was avoiding the counter just so they wouldn't have any more customers, so they could leave at 5;00. Anyway, I would have thought that 20 minutes would have been plenty of time to service my car. The tech brought in the keys to the car that was getting an oil change before I walked out of the store. Oh yeah, I didn't give them a dime of my money. I was planning on doing my weekly grocery shopping and other essential purchases, but will take my business elsewhere. I did report this experience to the corporate office, so hope I get a response from them. I am thinking there needs to be a little work on customer service skills for both clerk and the manager. Someone isn't doing their job supervising in this area.

BUT lots of people gab there. You have to agree....it's a congested area. Am I wrong? Another thing..........it's WORSE when it's Wal-Mart employees holding you up. Don't they have work to do?????????? Gosh, I wished I had all that time at my job to talk and gab!

did you happen to call ahead to see if they would have time to do it? With limited employees, they take breaks at different times and some work in different departments. You could've went to another area to ask an employee to page someone to automotive instead of walking to the front of the store. Just a thought..

I didn't call ahead, but they don't require you to call ahead. Not aware that they honor appointment times. They have always been able to service my vehicle while I shop. Also I would have preferred to have another associate page for automotive, but you have to find one first. The sports counter was empty exactly as the counter in tire and lube and the only other associate I saw were shelf stockers. There is no excuse for their lack of customer skills.

Complaining to store manager Chad Buchman, forget it! Why they haven't gotten rid of him long ago I don't know. He is a yes man for the company and rude! Keep calling 1 800 WalMart and hopefully Hiwatha WalMart can get a store manager who cares about customer service, because all Mr. Buchman cares about is getting his big bonus from corporate office in Bentonville!

I thought for a minute to even reply to such ignorant comments , wasn't going to waste my time , do people really waste their time on this ?? But then again as I'm reading the last comment I figure I already know that answer ! It takes all kinds I guess to run this world,, Kari owns cows and has chickens and her family farms , she also works a 8 hour shift job hmmmmmm, the same time as her mom and her sister so I wonder if they have these secret codes and all call in to work at the same time ,,,LOL .. If Chad was so blind to what was happening then why would she need to call anyone in she would just get it on her break , not to mention its not against policy for Kathy to buy meat at Walmart so I don't think it would be worth pay loss to Kari or her sister to come in when Kathy works there!?! so to the ignorant comment above about her mom and calling Kari and her sister in , well I guess we all have our haters , and she would find it humorous , I guess we all need a good laugh every now and then! And I have already wasted more time than what I wanted so on that note ,,, conjested not conjested ,carts or no carts, meat and cheap meat, I still shop at Walmart hahahahaha
