I know several condo owners in Sun Set Bay condos who will lease you their slips. They came with the purchase and don't use them. You are wise not to stay where you are. In 2001 we paid for a slip then the owner ran off with our money and we had to pay again.

I have been at boundary waters for 8 summers, when you battery is dead they are there, when you need anything they are there, you can count on them 100 percent if you have a problem. They go above and beyond to keep you happy and the place is immaculate, I have never had anyone take a thing out of my boat in eight years, my boat has been happy in slip A-21

We moved from Fieldstone to Boundary Waters in 2006. We had many things stolen off our boat while at Fieldstone. I couldn't take my family to the boat without being harassed by drunks at the lakeside bar. There was never a place to park. At Boundary Waters they watch our property and treat us like family.

We didn't lose our money when the last owners left town in the middle of the night but we know plenty of people who did. Don't say it couldn't happen again.

I think you can pay for the season or my the month, there are jet ski slips too, and a few uncovered slips. I know at the Fieldstone you get the pool and some of the other amenitied but we would never use those, what better pool than the lake! At Boundary Waters if you rent your slip you get discounts on all merchandise from the store, not gas or food but everything else I think. Just a great place for a family or anyone.

They are also great if you have extra people and need to borrow a life jacket or two, Or tools to work on your boat, or gas at the last minute when they are closing, they are the best in my book.

Fieldstone/Yacht Club/Mermaids etc....Has became nothing but a trash hangout.Drunks, dopers and boats are robbed clean. This whole enclave has became an embaarassment on the whole community.Obviously not a place for your family to be around. Also,Use caution driving by the place because of the drunks pulling in and out.And for some"unknown"reason local law enforcement seems to turn a blind eye on this place.

You are so right. It took her and her Management Team only a short time to turn what was a crowning jewel in our community into an embarrassment and liability. The sooner they are gone the better for our town. I remember thinking when they were building Fun World, what a wonderful thing for our town. Now I wouldn't let my children go there. Many of us have wondered what would have happened if Mr. Pelham was still alive, God Rest His Soul.

Get a slip ANYwhere but at Fieldstone/Ridges! We took our mooring cover off 3 wks ago & discovered another boat had slammed into ours during the winter!($800 damage) We had everything stolen 2 years before & the new gate locks are too little too late. Nearly $2000/yr w/no elec. Never any parking avail & Pontoon Saloon drunks' trash all over. Mermaids recently put up 4 outhouses (instead of real bathrooms)-- how gross! Stay away from there.

DO you know anything about Boundry waters? We want to move and our rent is up June 1st. We have had nothing but trouble the last two years at the Yacht Club Marina. The rates are a little less at BW but I don't know anyone who rents there. How is their service department.

The folks at Boundry Waters are great. They will help you anytime with a problem. I have never had an item stolen from my boat in the three years since I moved from Fieldstone. I had thing stolen several times over there. I also know they will be here next year unlike the merry go round at the Fieldstone/Ridges.

Whats the cost at Boundry Waters? Can you get in and out in the winter?

They are $1950 a year for a 28' covered slip. It's actually cheaper than the ridges for the same size slip. And the gas is always a lot cheaper too(same mid-grade). They have plenty of water year round (you can always use your boat), even in the winter.

When the old owner of the Fieldstone left town he took all the boat slip rental money. He even ran a special to pay in advance then get a discount. All of us who paid had to pay again when the next owner took over. It could very well happen again. Things are hard right now and that place has always struggled to get by. We moved to a private dock and pay about half what Ridges or Boundary waters charge. It is nice and safe. I have several friends at Boundary waters and they like it.
