I would like to thank the men and women who came to my families rescue when our vehicle slid down our ice covered driveway on Jan. 19. Everyone was professional and extremely courteous. For someone who has just recently moved to your wonderful town, its comforting to know these people are on the job! thank you again.

What a wonderful way to recognize our brave fire persons!

I feel better just knowing that they are on the job.

Oh, and welcome to paradise, even with the ice!

Topix readers: Did you know that we have 60 volunteer fire fighters? God bless them for keeping us safe and helping when we are in trouble. When you see flashing lights going in a private car, it's a volunteer rushing to help one of us. Please pull over and let them pass safely.

I took about a 20 foot fall in 2000, resulting in a broken back. The first responder was at MY HOUSE within 3 minutes of the 911 call and the ambulance/EMT's within 7 minutes. Great care and professionalism.

I am,
Blessings to you and the other fire fighters who come to our aid. Your simple answer is so indicative of this beautiful town and people like you who make it special.

Ya’ll be proud of yourselves! You are very special people!

We enjoy our work, or I do anyway, and all the fire fighters do also or they wouldnt be there. And I promise your thanks and kind words are appreciated by all public safety members, Ems, Fire, and Police.

I also have had a wonderful experience with the TC Fire & Rescue Dept. After calling 911 for a medical call, both Parker men, along with a couple more men whose names I (unfortunately) do not know, were there in a matter of minutes. They were very professional, caring and knowledgeable. They not only took care of the patient, they made all of us present feel very much at ease-- it was obvious they knew what to do. The EMS arrived and they also were great! We should all let these men and women know how much we appreciate them and all they do for us.

Would anyone be interested in putting on a "spread" for them some Sunday? I can furnish the place, pizza, cole slaw and ?? A "pot luck"? Your thoughts?

I bought the restaurant October 1st. The bar is gone and only the little restaurant remains.

I have promoted my business on other threads. Here I am just trying to do something nice, give away food and give folks a chance to meet all 60 of our volunteer fire fighters and say thanks.

Because I own a business, I can't do something nice?

I'm not sure what you mean about the sandwich. Call me and explain. I'm always trying to improve. Thank you.

Not had the chance to stop in but I will soon , I miss the pizza. Promote promote promote and I wish you well. Good day to you all.
