Nobody is just that mean for fun. Somebody must have a restaurant and the only way for them to compete is to lie about the competition. Seems to happen on here all the time. Somebody needs to talk to a lawyer, how about the one next door?!?!

I am not trying to beat them up I was trying to patronize them. Unfortunately the fact is they are never open due to one lame excuse after another. All the other restaurants that use PROPANE are open. So I will go to one of them instead of wasting anymore time driving to theirs to find them closed. It is probably the best thing they could do is stay closed with all their rave reviews.

The best pizza in Hiawassee is take-out only at the Citco station at the Sunnyside intersection. Lowest gas prices too.

Read what GA GAL wrote. bull**t.

We know who this is. Glad she finally got out of jail but seems jealous of how well South Side Cafe is doing.

Clean, good service, excellent food and no convicts

They are good folks and are doing well. Not like that last crew of idiots.

Dont know if this helps or not, but im a good friend of the owners. They told me that their was apparently water in the propane line which froze when it got below freezing. They had to wait on the gas company to get there and fix the problem. It took them a couple of days to get there due to being so busy because of the cold weather. Hope this helps. :)

Possible. There's a chemical they have to put in a new tank before they fill it to keep that from happening.

The fact is the restaurant business is one of the toughest businesses in the world to succeed in. Less than 30% of the new restaurants opened, remain open for 12 months. If the people who run the business have a lot of experience and the location is great and the economy is good and the building is properly designed for a restaurant and the food is great and they are willing to keep regular hours, then they have a 50% chance of success.
I doubt they can answer yes to any of those requirements from what I have read and seen. My projection is another dream that turns into a nightmare. I know of dozens of good people who could really cook, who got into the business only to lose everything.
Hiawassee's restaurant choices are limited. Plenty of good High end places, Portofinos, Chophouse and Enricos all do a good job of covering that. They all run special nights but are missing the target audience by trying to be something they are not set up to be. The cheap, meat and three are on every corner. Nothing in the fun family dining category which is the fastest growing sector in the restaurant industry. Places like Chilies, Applebees, TGI Fridays, Joe's crab shack. Places you can take the family and not spend a fortune and have some fun. The Yacht Club filled that need for several years but now lacks management and needs a facelift. If I were younger I would open a place that filled that need.

Tried this restaurant today for the first time with mixed results my burger was nothing special and fries were cold. Service was ok but portions are small for the price. There are better options for good food and no need to return to this restaurant as it is average at best. There cook was last at Chatuge Grille and you can see what he did for them. Enough said, wish them luck, nowhere he works has survived him ( Bledsoes, K & K, Chatuge Grille, and now Southside Grille).

Yeah, Dumbo, and if you had a brain you might be a functioning human being, although doubtless still a whining scumbag. Can you spell "Chili's", Dipstick?

They suck, foods cold, to expensive, and must not have no money to run the place because they are never open, the service sucks, the cook cant cook. I would not recommend this place to anyone i would tell them to go to McDonald's before i sent them there. Obviously they are not to smart who in there right mind would try to open a new restaurant in the winter that's just asking for failure... everyone and there brother knows that a restaurant is almost just a community service for the winter... i think they should give up and quit throwing money away!
