Hey Joe, I got a couple suggestions for your coverage of local sports. Objectivity and truth. I know it's your job to paint a pretty picture but some of your thoughts would be better kept to yourself. Like last week.
Quote " The odds are stacked against them and hopefully next season they can play more often in their own region without having to face such gigantic odds."
Joe, Region 8A might be the toughest Region in the State. Nine out of eleven of the schools are Private Academics. They recruit like colleges. If Towns Played football in the 8 A region they would not win and probably not score all year. More TC players would ride home in an ambulance than the team bus. Commerce is the only private school besides Towns. Commerce has several State Championships. Stating the odds are stacked against them makes you appear stupid. With the exception of three schools the teams they have played are from smaller schools. Whom ever schedules Union or Rabun or any other 2A school in any sport should be fired. Rabun Gap is smaller and it was the first year they had a team. Those are facts. That is what most news and sports stories contain. Not one persons opinion or false and misleading statements.
Here is another tip. Copper Basin is a solid team. We all need to pray for the safety of our kids. CB is bigger, faster and stronger. Oh, they also have a smaller student enrollment.
I enjoy your Tips from the Range. Stick to what you know or take the time to learn the facts. Then write a Sports story. Be the first person in your office to write a story that doesn't sound like Jim Jones trying to convince us drink the Kool-aid.

You're right on target with everything you said. The only weaker schedule that they could possibly put together would include playing "Sisters of the Poor, Girl Scouts of America, or the YWCA!!"

Naw, it ain't Joe's fault. It's them ole "bad refs" that keep causing TC to lose!!

Mark my word, they're gonna win a game this year. Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then!

Here's a tip, Dumbo. Learn English.

We are all just glad you are reading along and that our use of the English language and our grammar upsets you so much. When that rage fills your head one too many times, maybe a vein will burst. Bringing joy and relief to all of us who knew you.

This weeks stories read like a Hallmark Greeting card. Get well soon. Pray for him.
What we are all praying for is a real newspaper and a honest reporter or editor. We are sick of the Kendall Propaganda machine and asskissing suck up stories.

Hey Joe

How you gona spin the 34-0 buttwhippin Lakeview put on the Indians. Remember the story you wrote which outlined how the Indians wanted to return to the Region play? Well, welcome back to Region 8A play and that was from a team in the bottom half of the region. You have no clue what you are writing about. Educate yourself or find a new hobby. Your sports columns are growing old. The two wins are against two of the worst five teams in the State. Look it up jackass.

I believe the focus will be on the cross country team going to state this week but who knows?
