who really cares and who didnt cheer do u really wana cheer for sumone who just beat u hell no and they all play music writen by sumone else and thriller is a dumb song who cares all the schools pay a band leader and he should be the only one who inputs into there performance i believe that for heuvalton to have people from su doing that is wrong and i dont care about any of the bands personally they all did good and yes the parents from huevalton need to not even be at the performances maybe at pre k or a babysitters instead

yeah, thrillers not dumb. and maybe the kids wanted to learn the thriller dance. the kids all found it exciting. and they all enjoyed it. so why does it matter if some came to teach it to them. and it doesn't matter if you wanna cheer for someone who just beat you, its good spirit. and not all the parents from heuvelton are bad. some maybe need to grow up a little bit. but not all of them are bad.

thats what a band leader is for he couldnt teach them the dance or what well maybe the school should just save them selves sum money get rid of the band leader and just have sum kids from su [volunteer] every year to teach them a new dance i bet they were just su students and no money involved
dance or march

Ok, what has happened someone forgot this is a marching band not a dancing band.
SU performed this dance on a football field, not as a marhing band routine and that was so appropriate. But to do this on a street i am not sure if that was good. Were they judged for there music skills and marching? Put the instrument on the ground and dance? Maybe during their games they want to do something cute, this would of been ok. But all the other bands marched and did a routine not a dance with instruments in hands as a Marching Band.

Not all of the kids enjoyed it. In fact a many of them told me they hate it. Seeing how almost half of the colorgaurd didn't smile

it's sad seeing this fighting back and forth. i am from the heuvelton marching band, and i can honestly say that this nonesense never took place between the bands as we interacted together over the summer. all this drama has been created by parents on both sides of the isle. let bygones be bygones and move on guys. seriously. the marching season is over. i look at each and every band that i have ever come to interact with over my past 7 years of marching, and i have never heard anything negative from one student of a certain school to another student of another school. yes, its a competition, but that simply adds to the excitment of it all. i have friends from each and every band in the north country, and i am going to miss them dearly since i just graduated. please, please, try to maintain the positive and fun loving spirt that is apart of marching band season. stop this back and forth. just enjoy the music, support your band, and most of all have fun. cause when it comes down to it, that is what its all about. these are the best memories you will ever have from high school. enjoy them.

Yeah you are bad. You are just replying to this now? Seems the joke is upon you. Go grab a pizza and treat yourself to the simpler things in life. Ap"parent"ly your sense of timing and couth were not ingrained into yourself from the family tree!

Learn some manners!!
Well then

Yes heuvelton did have 3 members of the SU field band come to help but they were not payed. All bands did a great job over the summer. The is always stiff compitition but i must say that some parents do tend to take it over board. Band is for the kids. I am a 2010 graduate from heuvelton and i was a member of the band for 6 years. As me and a fellow graduate in band tried to stress, its not about the trophys its about spending the summer with your friends. Heuvelton has always had a great band program. Good luck to all in the up comming season.

Bella, there are parents who video tape OFA but they just haven't put them up there. OFAs music is always amazing in my opinion. And to just a spectators view, I agree with you but there are also some parents that support all the bands at HCS. I know a few. There's just alway been a constant battle between the 2 schools and I notice it mostly during band season. But I can honestly say I have never seen such bad sports in any marching band accept for heuvelton.
For those of you wondering about the videos, Ogdensburg was not present at the parades that those videos were taped at. It was nothing personal.

As a former HCS Student, i have read the comments and this would be my reply...It's a known fact that Heuvelton and Lisbon don't get along...when i played sports, it was always an ugly and hated game...I have seen Parades and such over the year's and i would have to say that Heuvelton has always Carried themselves with class and Honor...As all the other bands have as well...Who cares who exchanged what, the fact is every single kid is out there in the summer time putting on a hell of a show for the crowds all over the area...So regardless of what took place, the season is done and the best bands have one...On the streets your right the bands are there to compete...Off the streets you will see kids from the different school's hanging out and having fun...So to say one band make faces or doesn't cheer for another...Well that may be the case, but behind the scenes, they are all friends...
