The dance is CUTE, but so disrepectful to the instruments. I don't blame this on the kids, but on the guy from syracuse the school hired that came up to teach them this routine, The other bands would never lay them in the road. Most band members learn to love the instrument they play. No wonder they need new band equipment. Oh to the parents, support the band and go out and work for them like the other schools,Your so good at supporting them at parades. Or ask for a hand out by voting everday, LMAO. Yes and Tom Nichols nice job slamming Lisbon on Facebook along with the parents calling them filthy names after each parade, Kids you all did a great job and everyone looked good. Learn to love the music and enjoy it and you all will be successful.

It looks bad when they have to hire a choreographer. Where is the imagination and creativity. Oh right they don't have any. They might have won,but they are still losers.

Actually, it looks pretty smart of them to have hired a choreographer, they went home the winners, right? In competition, one uses all available means to win, that's the premise when one competes, to come out on top. If it was as simple as using ones' imagination & creativity then why didn't the schools that came up lacking use a little more of their own in order to succeed?

They did, if u remember right. Lisbon was the top band of the whole season! All from their own imagination and creativity. And saved money that will help to purchase band equipment..

yeah, but the scores were also rigged the whole band season! Heuvelton deserved to be number one. they were the best and they did the best. Lisbons good. but Heuvelton gets the crowd going and a lot louder than Lisbon ever does.

for everyones information heuvelton did not hire anyone to come and choreogragh their show. a couple of band members came one night and showed the the kids the dance and the kids did the rest. the kids have been working hard doing fund raisers for thier new uniforms - how do you think the color guard got theirs ? Don't slam the students unless you get the full story. All the kids from all the schools work very hard all year to please the crowds, so why call them names you are supposed to be adults act like one !

Where did they abuse their instruments? I saw them lay them down on the ground...is that what you mean?

I was told by several HCS band members that they hired a choreographer from syracuse. They can't just learn the thriller dance on thier own. And, whoever said Lisbon rigged the scores, face the fact that they were just straight up better. But if heuvelton won, then the scores wouldn't be rigged right? Right. Just because they lost a few parades doesn't mean the scores are rigged. The judges would never allow it for any school. And it's okay for Tom nichols to call other marching bands names and crap like that and slam students? No, it's not. He's just jealous of the other schools that beat them. I'd say it's time for HIM to act like an adult.

I can't believe how much things have changed since I marched. I don't think hiring a choreographer matters.

I like Lisbon because they were flashier, but I can't tell what they are playing.

Why are there no OFA vids?

I Watched the parades all season. To start HCS parents are so rude and stood on the sidelines making ignorant faces at the little girls in the other bands. And talk crap about the kids, it upset alot of people. It made a bad reputation for HCS. It made the other schools look so much more repectful to their schools. I have never in the years I have been supporting these bands seen such rude parents. I feel so bad for these children of that school. I think the parents need to grow up and leave these kids alone!!!! They scream on the sideline and because Adults act like adults and respectfully welcome their children to the judge area they are presume to not be crownd pleasers...

Bella, there are parents who video tape OFA but they just haven't put them up there. OFAs music is always amazing in my opinion. And to just a spectators view, I agree with you but there are also some parents that support all the bands at HCS. I know a few. There's just alway been a constant battle between the 2 schools and I notice it mostly during band season. But I can honestly say I have never seen such bad sports in any marching band accept for heuvelton.

Nobody said anything about SU. I was told by band members that somebody came from Syracuse to teach them
