Ogdensburg Correctional Facility's closure would have far reaching economic repercussions for St. Lawrence County, according to members of the Heuvelton Village Board.

How many blows can this community really take?" she asked. "The repercussions are so far reaching that I don't think we could ever begin to understand how badly we will be effected by this in the long run - unless we have to live through the disaster of its actual closure. It's going to hurt our schools, property values, local businesses, hospitals - every aspect of our communities."

the fundamental question remains: How many blows can this community really take?" Of course, the answer is and will always be, as many blows as is ploitically possible. The OCF is a done deal; move on just like you did with the closing of 99% of the SLPC. You people have a very bad case of short term memory. Duh!
