"Animal control was called to take custody of the pit bull. It is unknown what caused the dog to attack."

If the Pit Bull is the father of the unborn, it will likely face domestic violence charges.

lets hope this woman learns that these are not good dogs to have especially if there is going to be a child in the house, before her baby to be becomes this dogs next meal. there are plenty of good guard dogs that have the mentality and temperant to be your protecter all the time, not just some off the time until they go crazy. get yourself a german shepherd next time around

Well, I might be considered an "animal rights nut" as I do LOVE animals, especially dogs. But, still, I just can't see how people continue to get these dogs as pets when there are children in the house. I'm sure this woman wasn't planning on getting rid of the dog when the child was born only days from now. So maybe it was best that she saw now that this dog is volatile...I mean, thank God the dog wasn't able to attack the newborn. I love dogs, including pits, but I think there are people that should own them, namely males without children, and people that shouldn't, namely pregnant women and those with young children. Also, who knows how this dog was raised. People who own pitbulls often raise them to be mean, vicious dogs, making them more susceptible to violent outbursts like this. The article makes no mention of who else lived there with the dog, perhaps a brother or baby's father? I wouldn't be surprised if this dog was raised to be vicious.

Yawn yawn yawn. Woman looses half her face in Labrador attack - not newsworthy. Woman gets bitten in arm by so called Pit Bull - is newsworthy. No doubt this dog was no more a Pit Bull than your own dogs, probably some Pit Bull x Labrador x god only knows x like they usually are. Thousands of dog attacks every year in every part of the world and yet the only ones that get media coverage are from so called Pit Bull attacks. I can't believe people are still buying into hype so that media continue printing these headlines when there's ample amounts of factual imformation around that refutes the so called dangerous dog breeds propaganda. Then again I guess you people just need a little more drama in your lives. See you all on the Pit Bull hater's site for more of Colleen Lynn's own brand of "sectective sympathy" for dog bite victims.

What & when Ladrador attack?
That WOULD be a headline because one rarely hears it being anything BUT a Pitbull that was raised wrong.

Yeah, definitely a German Shepherd is the way to go if you want a good guard dog. They'll never turn on their owner.

Vesta Curry. Which Labrador attack? Do yourself a favour. Go visit National Canine Research Council's section on dog breeds and media headlines. If you bother to do that, which you probably won't, you will see that a similar attack from a Labrador will NEVER generate media attention while cases with a similar attack from a Pit Bull, the stories go national and international, and reach all major news outlets. They have examples from the last few years of similar attacks by Pit Bulls and Labradors, where Pit Bull attacks were around 300 times MORE LIKELY TO BE REPORTED BY MEDIA. And you wonder why you always hear of Pit Bull attacks? Or just visit FUZUPF on Youtube for those attacks from other breeds, like Golden Retrievers and Labradors that you're not hearing about. Or ask yourself who "Isabelle Dinoire" is and why media completely downplayed the breed of dog (Labrador) that bit off her face. There's a few examples to ponder over - now go knock yourself out with complete amazement.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
