Yet you can turn on your TV everyday to Fox News channel and they'll tell their viewers the stimulus package did absolutely nothing to save or create jobs anywhere.

Hey Repukes the stimulus package is working and all but three Senate Repukes voted "NO".

Snowe,Collins and former repuke Senator Specter. Repukes need to just keep voting "NO" who needs their worthless ideas.

By passing the stimulus bill, Washington politicians accumulated roughly $4000 in debt for each American. Do the math. A handful of people have reason to celebrate $39 million in LOCAL handouts while residents of the county as a whole must figure out how to repay well in excess of a half BILLION dollars in accumulated debt they had no chance to approve.

There is nothing to celebrate, here, friends.

The only people that got "stimulated" are the banks and politicians, the rest are still waiting to get "trickled" on.

The Government Taketh and the Government Giveth?
The feel-good headlines of the stimulus money article reaching the 250th day since it's inception, belie the true nature of its content and intent. Lebanon County receives more than $39 million of the stimulus money. Who benefited from the program and can celebrate the windfall? Let's find out. You do the math.
Most of the stimulus money received in Lebanon County went to government-based businesses that are federal, state and county operated, or contractors who work within those businesses. The total amount of money the private sector businesses received, according to the article was about,$10.5 million, if you include Weaber Inc. Weaber sawmill needed start-up money to the tune of $7.5 million to restructure its financial portfolio in order to recover from the depressed housing market. Who is responsible for the housing market collapse in the first place? Can we say Barney Frank, and even back to the Carter years and the Community Reinvestment Act in 1977?
Miscellaneous grants and loans account for $774.00. The rest of the pot went to those government businesses listed in the article. The LVC Dept. of Education received a grant for $270,500, although the grant probably won't do anything to slow the school's skyrocketing tuition rates.
Recycling the tax payers money is not job-stimulus, it is only a Robin Hood mentality that the Obama administration promotes. It is called Socialism.

So Galen Weaber, one of the largest Republican contributors in the state, is a socialist?

Galen Weaber is probably a Christian-first, a capitalist-2nd, and a Republican-3rd.

Do not confuse conservatisim with the Republican party. They are not one in the same.
The Democrat party is still responsible for most of the housing collapse. Former President George W. Bush, a one-time visitor to the Weaber Sawmill, was also a supporter of spending money that the country didn't have.

"Among those testifying yesterday was Galen Weaber, president and CEO of Weaber Inc., a lumber plant in South Annville Township.

Founded by his father in 1941, the company is now one of the largest lumber manufacturers in the country, employing more than 600 people. However, Weaber said that if he ran his company like the state government is run, he wouldn't be in business right now.

"If we don't get (spending) under control, there will be a day of reckoning, and that day of reckoning won't be pretty," Weaber said.

Galen took advantage of the stimulus. Period. And good for him, that's what it's meant to do -- help small businessmen like himself.

So he better not be criticizing the Democrats now.

All the so-called conservatives are doing is splitting the Republican party. Without moderates, the Republicans can't win anything north of the Mason-Dixon line, in most of the upper Midwest or on the West Coast.

How much debt did Bush incur for each taxpayer when he lied about WMD in Iraq and invaded the country ?

How much debt did George Bush incur for evey taxpayer when he took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan and invaded Iraq ?

Your Republican President George Bush put me and my fellow taxpayers in debt to pay foreign wars which nearly collapsed the entire US economy.

President Obama put the taxpayers in debt to save the economy from Republicans, I agree there's celebration occuring for Democrat's when it comes to cleaning up Republican messes.

Buster, your braindead.

You really believe it was the war that nearly collapsed the countries' economy? Where have you been for the past three years?

I would say HIH or HIOTW was probably a guest of the state at one of the fine institutions that help those in the same mental state as he/she/it.

We all knew that the economy would get back to normal as it awaits another fake bubble, teck stocks, bogus housing market, war, green industry and etc.
