UAW LOCAL 2270 Body Considers Decertification

It was my understanding that a Union represented all of it's membership fairly and to the best of its ability. Further more it was my understanding that when a contract was opened, it was opened.

It has been brought to my attention that the Local 2270, longtime lost of devout leadership has already opened the contract once (Inspectors) since signing with Ventra Evart LLC, and is currently considering doing so again (Die Setters) for what amounts to a .62 raise.

This is very disturbing given that people within this plant already took a royal roto-rooting at the hands of a bunch of ball-less sell out leaders who either retired, or moved into management shortly after the acquisition.

UAW LOCAL 2270 Unit A, you are officially on notice that you have two choices facing you.

Choice #1. Petition to recall all who supported opening the contract the first time and will do so again a second showing preferred treatment to select groups within the shop, at the companies request.

Choice #2. Petition for Decertification of a group of spineless bend over buddies and call it to a vote. Decertify the good ol boy network that is taking your money and giving you nothing but headache in return.

This is far from an Idle threat, When I spoke last I said I would return as it was needed. Unless you people enjoy being sold up the river, you need to find out all of what is going on and who it really benefits. Currently it only benefits the company and a select few of you... Is this what your Union is paid to do for you? Open a contract not once but twice and hav ete results only affect a select few.

Demand a signing bonus for all employees this time, collectively. There are other issues far more important that a 62 cent pay increase that should be focused upon. If you feel that you really need to ask me what they are, maybe you need to spend some time in your contract, and looking at your own paycheck and your medical coverage.

Nope this time I am afraid there are no green eggs and ham, but just maybe there will be a sam I am... Just maybe Sam I am will meet with you for real green eggs and ham.

Before you flame with comments, know your bylaws inside and out, know what your contract says and what it is good for inside and out. To my knowledge there is only 1 qualified person surviving to comment on this due to the intent and purpose of the bylaws when they were written, not as they are selectively interpreted.

you said a mouthful, and i really don,t know how to respond. But i can say i,m getting sick and tired of the extending the contract and come up with something already other than saying there looking out for our best interest, and in the mean time where stock piling parts and shipping in what ever can so we seem to get our hands on so our supplier has parts and it just dosn,t look
