I heard they just got a horrible report from the State . I heard they may be closing down . They have been contaminating the residents with MERSA by not handling isolation correctly and the place is pure filth .I pray for the people in the facility and the families who have placed them their. The staff is not nice after the families leave there loved ones to be cared for . check the fall reports . most residents are un attended for long periods of time . Some have broken bones that are unexplained and the admin. makes the staff falsify reports .They do not have a DON right now and check the licenses of the people who work there . Most have NONE . People do not put your family there . One lady died a few months ago because she was constipated so long that she had to go to herrin hospital to have sugary and died .TRUST me bad place .

I am so glad that my parents are not in the place if in fact this is true ? I do however know a few people that work there and have heard some things myself but , If the state gets them , It just might be a good reason to close . The state does not close nursing homes for no reason . Prayers are with the family members .

I have worked at fsc for almost a year and I've seen a lot of things . The state should close them down .I believe they do harm out patients and I'm glad that I am a cook . I never want that on my plate .

As with any nursing home or adult care situation, you have to make unannounced visits at different times of the day/week along with telephone checks. If you find something is not right, make a really big fuss. The squeaky wheels get the oil! Don't set a routine, the staff will figure it out and your loved on will be all spit shined for your arrival. The element of surprise is your best defence agains nursing home neglect.

I think that if you don't like the place then don't go there, otherwise you really ought to know your facts before you go running your mouth....ALL nursing homes have their issues....I, however, think that some people should mind their own business and should start rumors that aren't true......

I agree with many of the above statements, but calling people out isn't the way to go. Many of the employees there, well their hands are tied. Some of them actually care about what goes on, but the louder they speak the more your job is in jeopardy. If the state came in and found faults, then they should make them correct the situation and let the staff members go that aren't doing their job. I also agree that the facility should try to make the establishment more home like. It wouldn't hurt to have a fresh coat of paint and newer and nicer furniture. For the residents who do know what is going on, they should try even harder to make their life more enjoyable. The owners do only care about the amount of income that they receive. I also feel as if each resident should have a personal worker that advicates for them within the facility, in order to make sure that they are getting the best for the amount of money they pay. Funds should also be set up for residents with no money to receive many of the extras that the others receive whether it be snacks, cigarettes, or even a blessed birthday cake or present. Everyone wants to feel SPECIAL!

Get off the drama people... People got fired and want to start crap.There are issues behind all closed doors. Half the people that others think are sleeping together aren't and never have. A guy and a girl can be friends with out sleeping together. Is there an issue of jealousy in this? Is someone missing friends?
Not all the employees are crap, some care more than is noticed and as for the others you will have that in any job. From the Nursing homes to higher up jobs.
If you don't know and you just want to bash a place find a new hobby or get a life. And those of you who knows what goes on there need not to post things on the internet just to get back at someone. As far as no one in that place as any room to point fingers at anyone...
As for posting that Doug and Lucy are sleeping together how immature can you be! I know him and his wife personaly and they are good people so lay off. If they was sleeping togther and his wife knew about it, witch there they are not why would they do it at the nursing home !

Guess your gonna say kims not sleeping with staff too ?everyone knows the truth and tends to hide it I could care less if douglass and lucy ar in the garage playing hide n sek . If they would spend more time off their backs making that a btter place than. That would b good . Most of the staff ar that way not just them .

I donít have a dog in this hunt, but I am going to offer some constructive suggestions for all folks.
1. If you care enough to make negative claims, then please take responsibility to care enough to make a difference. Start making a positive change in your own little way, volunteer, give praise, deliver gifts, read to someone, visit them.
2. If you are an employee who does not like your job, then find a way to lead a healthy change. Negative broadcasting is contagious. Become a part of the solution.
3. Families Ė who ever led you to believe that placing someone in a nursing home guarentees their safety? Be realistic, nursing homes are not bubbles which offer force fields of protection. Your responsibilities donít end with writing a monthly check. Go visit, decorate their room, take them out to lunch, thank the staff, get involved.
4. Society Ė Donít forget about our treasured people, you may be one of them soon. Offer the respect and caring you want. Give a ride to church, crochet a shaw, make a quilt, write a letter, create an opportunity to make someone feel special and give a smile.
5. Employers Ė set clear goals and expectations for your staff and your business. Make time to ask your residents, families and employees how things are going and what can be improved.

I am just shocked to see all this air here today . What is wrong with you people ? It is not about who is sleeping with who (although , I do agree with you about a lot of that )This should not even be on this bashing site at all . To my understanding the D.O.N was fired and He was a huge part of the SOAP OPERA problem . It has been dealt with now so leave it alone .As for the others I am sure the wives and husbands will catch them someday .This is about the care of the patients in the building , If a problem is there than make a call to have it checked out . From my understanding they are called on a lot and still yet they are open (For some reason) If you see a problem , report it , If you do not than don't . that's your option . You have the right to do that on any given day . I personally know from having a family member there that some of the statements made here are true facts , i also know that my mother has worn other patients clothing when i would arrive , and i would see her clothing on other patients as well . This is a common mistake made but lazy individuals who do not do their jobs , I also know in fact that some of the aides tend to hurry with the people they feed at the tables and they use the cell phones while doing it , YET again another mistake made by lazy employees not doing their jobs . I can go on and on but still this fact remains , they need to hire better people to work for them and make the place better , weed out the bad and bring in the new . Start drug testing because I do know in fact that most of them would be fired if they pulled a drug test today including the higher ups (which explains why they do not do drug testing to start with ) Maybe the place should read some of the concerns here today and figure this one out , If you hire bad seeds , a bad crop is what you get .I did hear that many of the employees have been using and none have been fired after getting caught in the parking lot . I checked this and yes it was true in fact they still work in the place. "DRUG TEST "that's what I say do , and do it NOW to save the place or are they scared they will lose the entire staff? or too greedy to pay for it ?Either way , that's the problem they face right there in a nut shell .Will they do anything about it ? probably not , Now that my mother has passed the one thing i know for sure is that I will never place another loved one in the place until they change .

I agree with you I think they deserve better too! However I can tell you the CNAs work short and without adequate supplies and all the "state findings" are due to a disgruntled DON that got fired and is a sex offender

we do the very best we can at fcs and we love and care about are residents i for one love my job and most everything you read is false thanks to our don who got fired all this drama is because of him who i also heard is a sex offender our new don is wonderful and we have apretty good team with the exception of a few so please dont believe everything u see hear most is untrue

Ok.. so if anything makes this place look bad, it is this BS . As everyone has stated , state has been in so if this place is so bad wouldnt they have done something? As for the people that are sleeping together, if it is not directly harming you then stay out of it. Thier are people who apperently are not happy with thier job or thier own life and feel they have to make everyone elses miserable with them. Misery loves company!
Even if you do not like a person you do not air thier bussiness on the net for everyone to read. That is just wrong and makes you just as wrong as the person or people you are speaking of.
Lets face it, this has not started because of concern of the nursing home or the residents, this has started because someone is pissed at someone else.
Things have changed in the home and thier is a better person for the D.O.N something that everyone can agree was a long time needed. With that said hopefully things will turn around. Things will have to take time to fix, and if you are not willing to take the time or effort maybe you should find what you think is a better home to work in.
