It doesn't make sense that we continue to risk the lives of thousands of firefighters and emergency responders every year, while we allow Camp Williams to continue to operate in such an irresponsible manner. This is the third forced evacuation that my family has experienced in the past 11 years. My home and family are safe, but the devastation caused to other families, the environment, and taxpayers is unbelievable and completely unnecessary. Unlike others, I fully support the location and the important mission of Camp Williams and the training that takes place. But I am opposed to the continued carelessness demonstrated by the officials that allow these fires to rage out of control yearly. Every Utahn pays dearly for this carelessness. Let it stop!
