Whatever became of Big Al's BBQ Sauce? Is it under a different name I'd pay $10 for a bottle. It was hot and spicy but not too much. It sat on every table in the old county stores.

Al passed away a while back. One of his sons was going to keep it going, but I guess decided against it. I liked it too. I either use Cairo or Rupert's now, it's almost as good and about the same.

lol! Ruperts and Johnsons are one in the same. I've know him so long I just call it Rupert's. Thanks for correcting me.

yeah, I did too, but haven't seen it much lately.

I remember that some of our out of town friends and relatives used to come to Harrisburg just to buy that sauce because they didn't have anything like it in their area.

Krogers and Mad Pricer sell it on the shelf. Johnsons BBQ is on east walnut.
