Police say a crook recently stole some lawn equipment from his neighbor's house on Alden Lake Road.

Mr. Rivers, you are awesome! I wish you lived in my neighborhood! I only worry that if the robber had a gun your story might not have such a happy ending. cpmmend you for your bravery and your stand for what is right. If there were more people lke you we would be a lot safer in this community.

Way to go Pops!!! That was great just be careful. Though I live out in a rural area I have video cameras attached to recorders in hidden vaults plus I have dogs and an unpredictable work schedule along with multible vehicles. You never know when Iam here. I have some really cool security. And yes a person tresspassing here like in this case can aquire some serious physical problems if he survives otherwise I hope they have life insurance.

Yeah right STEALING IS STEALING doesn't matter if you are black or white or whether is a peice of bubblegum. Steal a can of wd 40 from my house and you won't get to use it. It could blow up in your face because you didn't ask to use it and didn't know which can to get.

Yeah that's right you go Mr. Rivers.I've just got one small I guess insignificant question.The kind of querstion I guess a white man shouldn't be axing.But I got's to know.I wus just wondering how News Channel 3 will report it when a white man catches a black man breaking in his garage stealing a very very expense can of WD-40 and takes a crowbar to him Is just wondering if News 3 will use the same kind of vocabulary to describe the incident.Or if the report will go something like this."Breaking News Report" Channel 3 has just learned that a WHITE man has attacked a young black man for supposedly trying to borrow a can of WD-40.Some say the young black man said he had every intention of returning the can of WD-40 to the prejudice WHITE man, and he only was borrowing it because his family was so poor (thanks to white man's greed).So at the present channel 3 is investagting to see if there is any charges that could be filed against this WHITE man for racialy motivated reasons for injuring this young black man.Especially since this WHITE man is bragging so much about how he hit the man with langugage like "Pow" and I'm the right guy to take care of buisness".Hopefully ex-mayor Wille Herenton will work with us to see if authorities could file some charges under the "hate-crime" law. I am so sick of ignorant people bringing race into a situation like this. It does not matter the color of one's skin when it comes to a simple matter of right or wrong. A person wrongly went into this man's garage and stole from him. He rightly protected his property in the best way he knew how. This country has lost it's common sense and chooses to make excuses for people's BAD behavior. It's a shame that a 64 year old man HAS to protect his property in such a way because criminals are not punished. Televise executions and possibly deter them from committing more crimes. We must show criminals that crime does not pay-because now they have more rights than their victims do.

Thank God you live in MS. and not in CA because if you were in CA you would be in jail for defending your property. Next time close the garage door on him so he can not leave then use the correction bar on him then throw him out the door like a slab of tenderized meat for the cops to take him to jail. he most likely took the radio to pawn for ingrediants to make meth and since you had WD40 it was one less ingrediant he need to make meth. I am not 100% sure wd40 is used to make meth I do think it is used not an expert with this stuff just stuff I hear on the news.
