Hernando Turning Dangerous Tunnel into Bike, Walking Path
It was built to move cows, then used by school buses then shut down. A one lane tunnel in Hernando, Mississippi runs directly under Interstate 55 connecting one side of town to the other, and residents to three schools.

Never knew it was a dangerous tunnel. Even back in the 70s the PD tried to discourage it's use, but never wrote tickets for using it.
Been through it a number of times over the years. Never saw a problem with it, but I do understand why it would make good walkway, if any school kids still walk.
