I think that house swapping is a wonderful idea. I swear that I'm going to do this the next time that I go out of town. It's brilliant. I've been reading all about how to go about it at http://blog.viscape.com/2009/02/top-10-house-... . I think that when it's done right, it can be very fruitful for both parties .

Home exchanges are a fantastic concept, but don't forget that there are plenty of FREE home exchange websites that offer the exact same (or better) value than homeexchange.com etc but without the expensive yearly fees! A handful of free ones are http://www.YourHomeForMine.com , http://www.Profvac.com , and http://www.PlaceToPlace.com.au . Other free home exchange sites are available by a quick google search. Hope that helps :-)
