The school board and a devious group of losers (O'Connor, Wachtfogel, Holmes, Lesser, Foss, etc.) are trying to railroad a decent man who is trying to keep the school board honest. Shame on you. We won't be fooled. We won't be controlled by these losers. Vote NO on the recall and NO on BB!!!!!!!

At least this issue is more substantive than wondering whether to eliminate gas lamps to reduce a carbon footprint.

Just to set the record straight. The attempt to recall Bill Eisen was started well before the Board thought to put BB on the ballot. Just another one of Bill (William, whatever) Eisen's lies.

Wow, are you out of touch with reality.
Eisen -- decent?!? You've got to be kidding, right?
Your twisted devotion to this pathalogical liar must have you so blinded that you somehow managed to overlook the FACTS:
1) Eisen filed at least eight consecutive bankruptcies in order to abuse and even defraud the court system, therby dodging his creditors for some 22 years;
2) Eisen finally ran up against a judge who allowed the bankruptcy trustee to take possession of Eisen's disgustingly rundown 'home' and sell it for land value earlier this year (all it was worth given that his living conditions, as described in court documents, were so unsanitary that even his sewer connection was backed up);
3) Eisen never paid a dime of property tax on this property for the entire 22 years, and though these past taxes were eventually paid by the trustee - not Eisen - as a function of the bankruptcy sale, and Eisen still owes over $130,000 in penalties;
4) Eisen, as an elected official, regularly shows up late, totally unprepared, and has even fallen asleep in the very public meetings he was elected to lead;
5) Eisen treats both the public and his fellow elected Board members with total disrespect, both in person and by writing letters to the editor that directly conflict with what he says and how he votes in public meetings;
...and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
If the above (for example) truly fits your definition of "decent", then I sincerely doubt many will be following your lead in the voting booth ... or in life.
Eisen's recall has nothing to do with Measure BB. In fact, Eisen's recall was filed before any decision was even made to move any District funding matter forward. Rather, Eisen's recall has everything to do with good decision making and good government. Eisen has repeatedly proven he hasn't a clue of either.
To anyone who chooses NOT to Recall Eisen, the question must be asked:
Exactly how low *IS* your bar for performance in elected office?

one look at his pick and I immediately pictured what is described in the previous post. And I have no idea who Eisen is. The guy simply looks slimy and wierd.

Slimey looking or not, the guy was duly elected by the people and has not been convicted of any crime. This is America. Case closed.

No, case not closed. In a few days he will be duly unelected. When that happens...case closed.

Or, stated more clearly,'Due Process' apparently believes that:
1) the sole acceptance criteria for performance in elected office is to not be convicted of a crime; and
2) no elected official should ever be recalled unless they are first convicted of a crime.

Thankfully most folks have *measurably* higher expectations of their elected officials, and thereby a very brighter view of 'America' than does 'Due Process'.

If you know nothing about Eisen and his incompetence, you have no business posting here as it is obvious you have no idea what you are talking about. Eisen has purjured himself in court and is a tax evader...fine example of a school board member. He was elected by a fluke, as most local politics are when you have a low voter turnout. For the MBUSD to move forward, get rid of the dead weight and replace him with a proven hard worker and dedicated MB Mom...Joyce Fahey!

If this is true why hasn't he been convicted or even charged with a crime? Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law? Or is it presumed guilty and persecuted by gang in a court of public opinion? Is this justice? We think not! We teach are children better than that. You should too! Open your eyes.

Classic line: "We teach are (sic) children better than that. You should too!"

It's obviously too late for you, but God help your children ... as you are certainly heading them down the wrong path.

Eisen's well practiced specialty is dodging the legal system. Read the myriad of third party news accounts posted to www.RecallBillEisen.com .
Go to the tax rolls and court documents yourself if you must -- but this guy is a crook if there ever was one. Again, one need not be convicted of a crime to be recalled. Eisen has now repeatedly proven he is totally unqualified for public office.

So sorry, but rumors and inuendo doesn't cut it. You quote a lot of gossip, but no real facts. If you have a complaint, take it to the DA. Oh thats right you have already and they didn't believe you guys. The people will prevail and you will have to live with Bill Eisen. Thats the honest truth.

What is absolutely clear is that Bill Eisen has unethically gamed the courts and dragged out his bankruptcy proceedings beyond tolerance of reasonable justice. Consider this. As a MBUSD Trustee, Eisen reviews and approves the expulsion and suspension of students who break the law or the rules of conduct (plagiarism, cheating, etc.) How can we allow this hypocrisy to continue? He should have taken the lead of former Governor Spitzer and resigned but he still denies any wrong doing.
