What's there now is a perfect fit. LEAVE IT ALONE KEEGAN. The city will screw it up and screw up the city more. The city can keep it the way it. Don't loser Council guy Keegan and city management operate like they know anything. Hermosa politicians will screw up that block. Count on it. Bars more bars. Bars, more people. A HOTEL is "progress"? Save some history, and send the chains and hotels to Orange County (or Fresno!) where they belong. And to the other poster complaining about living in that area for 40 years? City, buy the property as an investment. Use it now as a police lock up. Build a jail right there so you could just walk the drunks, and plaza criminals right in, book them, and lock them up. Call it the Mermaid lock up. Room to park strand and plaza patrol vehicles. Save a lot of gas. Police would not have to be driving back and forth from Bard St To Strand. Cops would have a front window view on all the hot bods walking by on the Strand.
