He must have been really stupid. Why would anyone being chased by the police go to Torrance. He should have headed to his hometown so he would have a greater chance of escaping. Glad he didn't though.

What are YOU thinking? When the BIG ONE hits in a few weeks, booze will be the "coin of the realm!" Did you ever try to drink cash?

A parolee headed back to prison....what a surprise. I suppose he'll get an early release though just to be back out to cause havoc and then go through the court system all over again and again and again.

Good Job Redondo Beach PD. When will the courts start to keep these habitual felons in Prison where they belong?

The police knew the crime committed and yet continued a high speed pursuit. It should have been called off and they could have arrested him at a later time. If he had just murdered someone then yes he must be stopped but shoplifting um no, we shouldn't endanger public safety for that.

Jason was never know for being very bright. He's a drug addict that would burglarized his parent's home when he was younger. Once a loser, always a loser!!! He should be looking a 25 to life this time.

The ACLU would defend this parolee , birds of a feather flock together! The solution not to waste time or money; Jason Malara should go on a helecopter sightseeing ride with the LASO and be dumped into the sea between Long Beach & Catalina! A awim with the fishes would be beneficial for the people of Los Angeles County in the name of the State of California! There would be one problem, one would violate the civil rights of the sea life!

when redondo beach and torrance residents agree to have prisons built in their cities....there's not enough room in the existing prisons.

why didnt the police just shoot that piece of trash, he should never been out of prison in the first place, its time to have open season on parolees and gang bangers, kill them all until there are none left to keep commiting crimes. just kill them and get it over with.
Sandra Dear,
maybe you need a nap or something? start over okay? If we thought the way you do, you would have mostly been killed sometime ago!
