I guess it depends how expired the food is. Is it a day or two past the sell by date? A week? A month?

Waste not, want not.

This country throws away mountains of good food daily. it sickening to see the waste. Sell by dates do not mean it's no good on that date.

This same union wants to have the right to eat expired employees as well...... I think that's taking it a bit too far.

How is this a win when you wouldn't want to eat it before the expiration date?

I once drank a pint of milk that was a week past its expiration date. I don't recommend it.

I guess it's better to waist the food than to waste it.

I use soy milk and it is fine a week after the expiration date. I've never kept it longer than that. Soy milk is plant based, unlike dairy milk.

I guess you had more than one experience with that milk. It is like the joke Red Skelton had about escargot. He said he only tasted it twice. Once on the way down...

I know what you mean. There are so many foul-mouthed comedians today.

Not surprising, Union workers dont want to pay for ANYTHING themselves. So old food is beeter then spending thier own money on the grocery store.

It would be nice if the stores offered $5.00 off a $50.00 purchase. Many people do not use the national brands that post coupons. Many people use store brands to save money, so they cannot use the printed coupons.

Actually we have 1 store in the area, Penn-Dutch, that sometimes offers $5.00 off a $50.00 purchase. It's offered 1 every other month or so. We hardly ever shop there, but will for the savings. It is basically a bulk store. Large amounts = family sizes.
