All anyone who really wants to know the truth about Herkimer players using steroids just needs to go to the wap who runs the gym there. Steele turns a blind eye because it is during the summer, before school starts. One more thing, high schools do NOT test for steroids, thus no proof during the season. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. You Herkimer people just don't want to know the TRUTH.
You can't handle the TRUTH!
If, as you say, kids are using steroids, what makes you think it is limited to Herkimer? If they are using them, they sure are not doing any good. There is no size on that team and no one is particularly developed......certainly not to a Division 1 level.

Herkimer had their best team in 30 years and you have to give them credit, the previous two teams won sectional titles with asterisks, 2011- Skaneatles was disqualified and last year they won the split division, not overall.
People need to stop the steroid talk, the Herkimer kids right now are working harder the than any other program in the valley in the offseason. It amazes me how people shout "steroids" when they see a player put on some muscle. The fact is, not a lot of kids hit the weights hard, and when they do, you can notice the difference between kids that aren't.
Herkimer has had great leadership from their QBs the last few years, on and off the field, and it has lead to very successful seasons. They will be good again next year, but who is going to take over that leadership role? Who in Frankfort, CVA or Little Falls will step up and lead like those two kids? I watched Frankfort and CVA this year, both those teams were not that far off from competing for a sectional title, little more dedication in the offseason and leadership, and the valley could be celebrating 3 sectional winners! How awesome would they be? Within a 5 mile radius, the sectional D, C, and B champs!
Awesome idea !

Well "Ole timer", if you REALLY wanted to know the truth you should investigate. I doubt that you would as you don't want to know the truth, just keep burying your head in the Herkimer sand!

Are you kidding? CVA wasn't that far away this year, really only had one bad game (Oneida). Every other game they were in and was one point away from making the playoffs. Don't believe Herkimer would have been able to stop CVA's offense, rushed for over 300 yards against every team they played.
they didnt beat anyone with a winning record and got beat crushed by caz and oneida

Good for you, you can read scores. What I said was they aren't that far off, they played awful against Oneida, but gave Caz all they could handle until the second half when Brown went out. They had over 400 yds rushing against Caz, which held Oneida scoreless for 8 quarters. You're right most of their wins were against teams with losing records, but they did beat a 4-4 Chittenango and a 5-3 Holland Patent, all the other loses were against teams that made the playoffs. Again, they are not that far away, with some leadership and hard work they will compete for a sectional title next year.

Ilion Guy- Why should I investigate, when you
know the "truth", but you won't do anything about
it. Talk about burying your head in the sand you
have the "evidence" and the "truth" but you don't
have the "guts" to do anything about it. P.S.
I'm not form Herkimer. I'm simply someone who
can't stand a person who spreads rumors, but
does nothing to back them up.

You are absolutely correct and our players did this without using steroids either. Look out next season as CVA will be a dominant force to be dealt with, come on Herkfoot, play CVA. Steele this is a challenge, why don't accept!!

Then shut the hell up and go back to Section II where someone might actually be interested in your comments.

Ilion Guy- CVA is a class B school and Herkimer is
a D maybe a C next year. That's why they don't
play each other. Why doesn't CVA schedule Proctor
next year? Oh, they're a AA. P.S. Section II had
three of their teams win their regional games.
Oops, they must all be using steroids at the
Herkimer gym.

Hey clueless! CVA did play AA Albany this year, and won 46-32.

against a team from section III. They didn't win
game in Section II.

I am not from Herkimer but I firmly feel that any high school team, reguardless of what sport they represent that has the good fortune to advance into sectional or state playoffs should be admired by the entire Mohawk Valley

Hard to argue with idiots. You asked why doesn't CVA play AA Proctor, I point out they did play AA Albany, and you come back with big deal Albany only won one game. Do you know how many games Proctor won? They were 1-9, not sure if I understand your logic?

Why do you want to play Herkimer? Why not play
Canajoharie instead? Because Herkimer is a
neighboring school and a rival. I suggested
Proctor because they are the closest AA school
to CVA. It had nothing to do with their record.
What would it prove if CVA beat Herkimer? A
B school should be able to beat a D school
most of the time.
