I have a leaky roof on the back area of my house. It's a "secondary" roof, not connected to the main roof of the house.

Who in the area is honest and relatively inexpensive?

I can't afford to rip it all off and start fresh, so I need a good fix so I can re-insulate and sheetrock that room before winter.

Keeping the old stuff on there and just trying to repair it will only cause future damage and then the work done inside will be damaged. Your best bet, even though it might cost more, is to spend the money now and have it torn off and done correctly. It will save you money and headaches in the long run.

I have been using a very good home Improvement guy. I have recomended him to some friends too & they were very happy. I found him in the yellow pages under "Dupres Construction" I researched a few estimates from other guys & his was QUITE A BIT cheaper than the others. Reluctantly, but financally we went with this guy because of his price & we could not have been happier!!! He did a great job on our addition & saved us a TON of money. He's a small 1 to 3 guy operation. A real nice family guy,(I think his wife just had a new baby) & his helpers were good guys too. I'm not sure if he does roofs, but I know he does additions & he's a "handy man" & paints too and very trustworthy, on the books, & reasonable!- PS. he wasn't in this years yellow pages, because he said it was too expensive. Look in last years, or let me know if you can't find it.

I have no idea how it happened, but we have a leak in our roof. My daughter sleeps in our attic, and found it yesterday during a storm. We need to have someone come fix it right away, there's more storms on the way...

A good contractor can just replace the set of shingles in question. They just slide under the shingles you are keeping on. Of course if all or most of the shingles look bad then it's best to redo the whole roof.
