most banks will let you sign a check over to your mommy, then she can cash it at her bank, and give you the money. i used to do this with my kids when someone would send them a check for their birthday, or christmas. i would also like to applaud you for your hard work and resposibility. most 10 or 11 year olds don't have jobs and paychecks, and pay taxes. i'm assuming you're 10 or 11, because you don't have a bank account yet. you sound like a hard working young man. great job!

ya, you got me there. i have a bank account, so i must be a powerful ceo. you're stupidity is awesome. it's funny that someone stole your identity. when someone steals a douche bags identity, do they then become a douche bag? what a shock that must have been for the guy that stole your identity, when he started getting your welfare check.

ya, thats a lie. having someone screw up one bank account doesn't stop you from opening another one. also, if you're just now getting a divorce, you would have had to file jointly for last year. which means the irs wouldn't have sent you the refund check to cash. half of the money would be hers. good try though. just admit it, you don't have an account because you are a douche.

Just drove 40 miles with my bf to cash his payroll check on a Saturday. We have not had a date night out in months and finally we have a chance to cash his check on a weekend so that we may spend a night out together plus our dogs outta food. So we get up to counter and they try running his check through the machine a few times and it does not read through their machine. So we go to customer service counter and wait a half an hour in line and its tried their as well. No dice! Guess walmart has this problem often (as said by the customer service man) that some numbers on paychecks are spaced to far apart to be read by the machines. And they cannot manually type the check numbers in because walmart will not receive the money. I couldn't help but break down in tears we have been planning this night for 2 weeks. Just be careful if u do try to cash a check there it may not be the right size for walmarts check reading machines. If u gotta travel make sure to have enough gas money to get home on.

How much trouble is it to open a bank account and keep a minimum balance in it? It has to be cheaper than chasing all over the place and PAYING to cash checks. Then there's that whole interest thing if you can manage to keep your mitts off the money for a whole month.

I've never seen my paycheck in cash.
