Obamacare is in crisis, but as the blood squirts from the neck and the Obamacare loser becomes ever more lightheaded, the president desperately pretends it’s all intentional. As with Aykroyd’s grisly “Saturday Night Live” sketch, we know it won’t end well, but it’s impossible to look away.

In October, as things go sour, Osama tried to pass it all off as a simple computer glitch. Two months in, it's hard to overstate the magnitude of the failure. Three years and $600 million were spent on a nonfunctional system that was never fully tested and has deep security flaws. With the Nov. 30 deadline for system repairs approaching, the Democrats’ hope for a "quick fix" is fading as fast as their poll numbers. Last week Obamacare’s technology chief admitted that up to 40 percent of the software still remained to be developed.

But a working website was never the real problem; it’s the law itself — which, sadly, performs as designed.
By setting unrealistically high coverage standards, Obamacare renders millions of insurance policies illegal. Since Oct. 1, about 100,000 have signed up for new coverage under the law, while nearly 5 million families have had their current plans canceled.

Simple economics tells us that nearly everyone dropped by their current insurer will see rate increases; if the law demands new features, those features will cost money. We also know that prices will increase for the younger, healthier purchasers who are expected to subsidize the older and less healthy. At a Maryland College, 5,500 students lost coverage when their premiums rose more than 1,500 percent.

Trying to shift the blame to insurers which is Osama's M.O. isn't working either. Which is why vulnerable Democrats are now frantically introducing “fix Obamacare” bills.

And as the president desperately tries to reassure everyone that things will work out just fine, Democrats in Congress look more like George Costanza every day. Their problem is: Where’s the door and where to? No one knows, but neither did George Costanza. George from “Seinfeld,” who smells smoke at a birthday party and shoves aside children and grandmothers as he flees the room. As he ran for the door, the last person he shoved out of the way was a clown with big ears.

When Democrats begin to bolt, the president may want to be out of town.

The coverage standards are not unrealistically high and most people are seeing rate DECREASES as a result. As a small employer, of the three plans we offer, only the high deductible plan for next year is seeing a rate increase, partially because the deductible is decreasing. The Gold and Platinum plans for next year that are comparable to plans we currently offer are DECREASING premiums next year.

Your Fox talking points are weak at best...

Dems are jumping ship and all is well? What the fk are you drinking? Where did you hear decreasing premiums, Obuma? I believe it, he never lies. Hahahahahahahaha

Nancy Pelosi says 'Affordable Care Act' instead of 'ObamaCare' because "everybody may not love Obama, but everybody loves affordable."

Well she's right about that. According to the latest CBS poll, Obama's approval rating has tanked to 37%, an all time low.

And unfortunately for Democrats, a lot of Americans are finding out it's not-so affordable, which explains the CBS poll findings that show only 31% approve of ObamaCare/the Affordable Care Act - whatever you want to call it. 61% disapprove. 84% of DEMOCRATS think the law needs to be changed or be repealed.

All is well...so much for "Hope and Change".

According to the Hill, Democrats are seething with anger over the botched roll out of (what they now call) the Affordable Care Act. Democrat aides say Obama’s relationship with congressional Democrats has reached an unprecedented low.

Sources who attended a meeting of House chiefs of staff on Monday say the room was seething with anger over the immense damage being done to the Democratic Party and talk was of scrapping rollout events for the Affordable Care Act.

Except that $12,000 is not the deductible for an individual plan with a premium of $30 per month. That is a deductible for a family plan.....

and even that depends on in-network or out-of-network coverage.

If two people are a family you're right.

$300 a month with a $12,000 deductable is for a 35yr old couple from Texas that got sticker shock.

How wonderful.
