You too are a moron. Carpenter didn't even handle the case with the lawsuit and all prosecutorial misconduct was thrown out. Do your research. To many stupid morons on topix. They have no clue what is going on. Stupid stupid stupid!!!!!!

Carpenter is getting desperate. That is plain and simple to see. Mary received no $$. It's a case of disgruntled family members who wanted more money. This case has been through the courts 2 times in 4 years and the disgruntled family members lost each time. The only $ her brother received was to bury his Aunt.

So tell me - how did she rob the estate and how much $ did she get?? She did not bill her deceased Aunt for setting up the will and trust fund. In both court cases, the judges both found that Ms. Iocovozzi did nothing improperly. Get a life.

You don't know anything about the case besides whatever misinformation these thieves feed you.

Mary made a motion to dismiss the case which was denied.

Have you read the lawsuit filed by Plunkett? I have. No one has said anything about Jeff's collusion with the Correction Officers at Plunkett's prison to keep him in prison longer than the court ordered. That's part of the lawsuit.

Have you read the Appelate Court's review of Morra and Jeffy's big boo boo as described by the Court? I have. He screwed up.

Focus on the facts, not the gossip! Ms Iocovozzi admitted in sworn testimony that she used an invalid Power of Attorney to obtain mail that she was not entitled to. Is this a crime? Google it! Is this the person you would want to handle your family's estate?
Is this the person you want as your chief prosecutor?
And why does she refuse to debate Mr. Carpenter? What else does she have to hide?

What else does she have to hide? How about her drug dealing son Alex Zito. Google him. He lives in Buffalo. Nice arrest by Buffalo PD. Kid hasn't worked in 2 yearsand still had $13,000.00 cash and a lot of drugs in his apartment. Research it. Interesting reading.

If Carpenter wasn't so busy sniffing up the evidence and pocketing the money from dealers maybe he could have put a $300 omputer on his desk. It's 2012 almost 2012 and this guy doesn't have a clue, someone get him a magnifying glass.

And what do the Mary fan girls have to say about her labeling the envelopes of her campaign flyers with "Your Absentee Ballot" to trick people into opening them? Who the hell does that? Her game playing really knows no bounds, it's sad.

ELDER FINANCIAL ABUSE is an absolute BETRAYAL OF TRUST against older persons, mostly women, and spans a broad spectrum of conduct, including:

-Taking money or property,
-Forging an older person's signature,
-Getting an older person to sign a deed, will, or power of attorney through deception, coercion, or undue influence,
-Using a Power of Attorney after it is no longer valid,
-Using the older person's property or possessions without permission,
-Promising lifelong care in exchange for money or property and not following through on the promise,
-Isolating the elder from friends and families through lies and deception.
-WHY ARE THE ELDERLY AT RISK?
-Persons over the age of 50 control over 70% of the nation's wealth
-Many seniors do not realize the value of their assets (particularly homes, old savings and checking accounts, as well as stocks and old savings bonds that have appreciated markedly)
-The elderly are likely to have physical and cognitive challenges s that make them dependent on others for help. These "helpers" may have access to homes and assets, and may exercise significant influence over the older person.
-They may have predictable patterns (e.g. because older people are likely to receive monthly checks, abusers can predict when an older people will have money on hand or need to go to the bank)
Elders are also less likely to take action against their abusers as a result of embarrassment.
It's a serious issue. MetLife said elderly victims of financial scams lost at least $2.9 billion in 2010, up from $2.6 billion in 2008. And 20% of Americans over the age of 65 have been victims of financial swindles. "This is a major problem, and we know there is significant under-reporting," says Mark Lachs, director of geriatrics at New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System." (Quote from USA Today August 15, 2012)

GET INFORMED. DO THE RESEARCH. Then ask what your candidates for district attorney will do to investigate and prosecute financial elder abuse in Herkimer County. It takes courage. Insist on answers.

Now if any of this is true, and this is an old case what hasn't the great DA Carpenter looked into this case. Why did he not bring Mary before the BAR. What about the serious conflict of interest in the baby case and the Herkimer County Social Services? An ADA working for Carpenter also does legal work for social services. Anyone find a problem with that? Oh and by the way why is Mr. Carpenter looking for someone else to give him an opinion on the couse of death for the baby that was in foster care. A very reliable Medical examiner ruled the cause of death (Homicide) but, yet Mr Caprenter is shopping around for another opinion. Is he trying to cover for social services? If only the great OD would do proper reporting.

Nancy's will is a matter of public record. You can check the Chemung Co Surrogates court. The family only wants the will carried out. No family member is fighting the will. Unfortunately there was nothing left to distribute after the will FINALLY surfaced. That is sad. I feel badly for your cousin Nancy.

I do appreciate your thoughts for my cousin. to bad there is a few items missing like she placed her assets in a trust and gave cds to her family
Her children and grandchildren are barking up the wrong tree. Oh by the way why didnt they see her for about 5 years or so
Nancy was perfectly fine in her thoughts so dont pick on her for her age. She was in full faculties
lets look for another avenue to go on now Jeffs boys

You brought up your cousin , and I don't believe she has been picked on for her age in this column. Perhaps you dont understand the issue of elder abuse. That is the ultimate form of picking on someone for her age.
