New to the "Valley"

Just moved to Mohawk from Maine. When I first moved here the school bus had "Mohawk" on them. Now they have stickers covering another name. Is that legal. Who is driving these busses? I am a single mom - yes, with a good job.

I really don't have an answer for you, but suggest you put this on the Mohawk Topix, since it is a question about the Mohawk busses. Someone there might be able to answer this for you.

They share busses with the Richfield Springs school system. Nothing illegal or suspicious about it.

It's done to avoid confusion with the riders.

sorry i pissed people off! thought that-perhaps someone could give me a perspective. Thought you people were kind here. YES, I did call the school district-who forwarded me to the business office. apparently they had a problem with some paperwork on their inspections. REALLY SORRY for bothering you guys/gals.

It's not you, Annie. Spend a little time on Topix and you'll see the kind of person that it attracts. EVERY post devolves into the same thing. Welcome to the valley, and I think you'll find that in the world outside of TOPIX people are welcoming and kind. Come to TOPIX for entertainment, but never for conversation.(I say this assuming you've been on TOPIX, elsewhere...if you go to just about any city - even small ones - people are actually discussing the NEWS; here it's just gossip and people who feel better putting others down under the guise of anonmymity. They'd never act that way in person, which is VERY sad.)

BTW, this was a good, legitimate question about the school buses. Seems someone COULD have simply answered it.... Best to you as you get settled-

I hope you get it; it's deserving. However, I suspect you won't and hope even more you're not here to find out. Surround yourself with the good people in the town, as I'd say this is most. It really is a warm place and a good place to raise a child. I wish you and your daughter well as you get settled.

Yeah, that occurred to me when you asked “her” what happened to her husband. That was dumb, because she only said she was a single mom. You wouldn’t have made that mistake otherwise. And then asking did he die, yes in a car accident, well that was just waaaaay too convenient.
