The law was made to protect police canines not regular dogs . It's a good law that should've been introduced long ago.

You saying its o.k. To kill a police officer. It's not o.k.to kill anyone but killing someone in uniform is out there.

I see no statement that says it's okay to kill someone in uniform. But if you want to go there we have people in uniform being killed every day Afghanistan. but that's okay. and I am a big supporter of the war. But laws should be made for everybody and I do mean everybody to follow !! period !

Do you think it is the Police who pass these laws??

Very obvious you have no idea the reasons behind and the process that goes on when writing and passing laws.

Does your dog track? Does your dog detect narcotics? Did your dog detect explosives? How many fugitives has your dog apprehended? Did your dog respond to every command you give?

Yes, I am saying that I think a Police dog is more valuable and more important than a family pet. And if killed the killer deserves a stricter punishment.

You think they are above the law? TAKE THE TEST!

In a country where it seems to open season on PEOPLE, depending on their color, any legislation that reflects any priority contributing to our extremely warped sense of values is, well, warped.

Some of these 'animal lovers' are the very same people who clamor to cut food stamps from the families of starving children, or who seem to think it's fine to stalk and hunt teenagers who are only guilty of having a skin tone that the stalker doesn't prefer.

We need to take a step back and look at this stuff.

If it has brown skin and wears a hoodie it only means trouble. Can some tell these yard apes to pull up their pants I don't care if they are ready for receiving anal sex.

WOW your way out there. You must be one of those that ride around with a little sticker in the window of their personal vehicle. with no seat belt talking on their cell phone having a few drinks and not a worry in the world about being pulled over because you have a get outta jail free card !! I wonder who pays for all those dogs to be trained ?? let me guess taxpayers. you want to sit there and cry about the dogs but who is it that puts them in harms way !! but of course you're not responsible for what happens to the dog !! sounds fair.
who the hell do you think pays your check?? someone always pays someone else thats how the world turns if you havent figured that out. if you work at walmart, my money I spend there pays you. if you are a contractor I pay you to put my roof on. if you are a doctor my insurance premiums pay you. so this whole who pays for shit argument is plain stupid.

the point is these dogs are trained to help protect society, versus the muttl down the street who would rather eat a kid or maul your pet.

would you rather police just shoot a person in a situation that a K9 can be utilized??

you sound like a jealous imbecile who is envious of someone elses career choice. If im way out there I have to question what planet youre on.

also research the responsibilities of a K9 handler, and their duties. you saying they are not responsible for what happens to that K9 shows you are extremely clueless about this topic.

it wasn't a cop who shot trayvon. let it go.

funny.... four black guys kidnap rape and murder a white couple and nothing is being reported. hmmmm... why????

also I highly doubt a welfare rat gives two shits about a Police dog.

I agree. Killing any innocent animal, bar legal hunting, should be a felony, if it's done maliciously. Killing someone via vehicular homicide should ALWAYS be a felony, anytime, anywhere!!

Now wait a minute.. first you wrote my dog could not obey every command given to it .ect. ect I simply responded by taxpayers pay to have these dogs trained... so if I had unlimited funds that somebody else is paying for. my dog could definitely do all those things. this has noIthing to do with career choices of myself. yeah just what I want to do dress up in my blues or blacks... like I'm so tough... and the minute I cut my finger or somebody talks back to me or when people do things to me that I don't like... I go and cry and make a new law so it can't happen again. I take a lot of pride in my work you should try it and stop belly aching about every little thing that doesn't go your way. Sorry if you don't like it but the police put these animals in harm's way. if I or anyone else get hurt or killed at there job they're definitely would not be a new law. and that's the way the world turns and don't we all know it !!
You think unlimited money is what trains these dogs? Like I said, you're clueless.

As for the rest of your rant, again like I said earlier, spoken like someone jealous or envious.

I could explain a lot to you, but as ignorant as you are there really is no point.

Also if you get hurt or killed at your job it is more than likely an accident which is investigated and there might be a new law written because of it... ever hear of OSHA??

When a law enforcement officer is killed it is either an accident or an intentional act by a criminal. But yes, that would be ridiculous to try and prevent that from happening by having a stricter punishment right?

As for police putting the dog in danger, that is what they are trained to do. They have the drives to do it, thus why I laugh when you think it is unlimited money that trains the dog. It actually takes very little money to train them, but hey, your opinion is your opinion. I'm sure you are anti hunting dogs right?? I mean they have dogs that tree mountain lions and on average one or two of a hunters dogs get mauled to death every year. But they aren't a Police dog so maybe you are ok with that, who knows? They have beagles who chase rabbits and will chase them until they (the dog that is) drop dead ( literally) if allowed to go that long. But again, maybe you don't see that as being put in danger.

Spin it any way you would like... police and politicians are very good at that. And of course they can because they make the laws that they don't have to follow.
Do yourself a favor and research and get informed on the topic at hand, which is killing of a Police dog, but Like you said, spin it anyway you want it.

last word is yours.
