I know for a fact that the dog with the broken leg along with another one was abandoned by another person who did not want to take care of the dogs, so Barb took them in. The leg was already broken.
When you,"take in," an animal you assume responsibility for that animal's health and well being. It isn't THAT COMPLICATED. If you can't handle it financially, you reach out for help. The last thing you should EVER do, is to allow the animal to continue to suffer with the broken leg or any other treatable condition. Something tells me you will never get it. Keep enjoying your trip down De Nile. Thank God Lainey's army is continuing to monitor the situation.

Not sure how many times I can say it. They were brought to the vet and being treated. copy and paste this link for the proof the lawyer has for those who are more visual learners and cannot read.
It's takes a news agency out of Syracuse to show both sides
Then why is their health suddenly improving now that they've been removed from her care? Why were their nails ingrown, something which a vet would have taken care of? Why are the dogs gaining weight now? Why is their fur growing back now? If all of the dogs were really going to the vet, the dog with the broken leg would have been taken care of, right? It would have had a cast on its leg, right? Doesn't matter when it was broken - she failed to take care of it. Any idiot can see by the photos that these dogs were neglected and starved. Obviously not every dog saw the vet recently. You can't lie your way out of this.

Why don't you ask Mother Nature ? Evolution didn't take the existence of vets into account so the nails of dogs are supposed to be self maintaining !... those who do get ingrown nails are supposed to quickly die of infection so their ret@rded genes don't live on !!

Pretty sure you only saw pix of a couple of them and those were the ones that wouldn't gain weight. All the other dogs were not starving and neither were the ones that weren't gaining weight. Why don't we ask the vet at Herkimer veterinary why the dogs wouldn't gain weight or wouldnt grow thier hair back?! And the dog with the broken leg was taken in by this woman bc it's owner wanted to put it to sleep. So get your facts straight

. My dog is walked everyday and she doesn't need her nails cut, their nails don't grow out of control if they are allowed out of their cages and exercised . How can you make excuses for these people? Those dogs where emaciated. Sick and cruel!!!

ThreeLines....hats off to you! Its so evident that Three Sides is Lonnie. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. It's funny how soon as you called her out she suddenly disappeared. Guess she knows you are right deep down, just doesnt want to admit it. Case is clear as day, but because theyhave money, they've been able to buy their way out......so far.....

I honestly don't think they will be able to buy their way out of this one, there is too much media attention. I think it's important to keep to keep the pressure on and not let it fade into the background. It is going to cost them plenty to hire a lawyer to defend them. Also Lainey's Army is a force to be reckoned with, they will not let this get swept under the rug

Enough with who didn't do this and who did, the problem is 12 abused and neglected dogs are finally being properly cared for. And some one should call the Humane Society of the United States on this one.

Concerned citizens need to contact the Herkimer Co DA Office & demand a FULL investigation, followed by an aggressive prosecution. The humane society needs to petition the Court for a bond (under Ag & Markets Section 373 (6)) so the defendant will be ordered to pay for the medical care of those 12 beautiful dogs, in addition to serious jail time. http://herkimercounty.org/content/departments...
. I think this post is important to keep current

I just pray that the judge throws the book at them. to many animals are being very poorly taken care of every day. if you can now take care of them then you should not have any to being with. the judge should also make sure that they can never ever have animals again. I just hope that because they are a local business that they let them get away with just a slap to the hands. if this does happen then I hope the people of this area get on the judges back heavy.

Three sides...I can see that you are very passionate about this...maybe that clouds your vision? It just seems to me that you are not hearing what the rest of us hear.
It doesn't matter that the dogs were elderly...there is no excuse for their toe nails to grow into their pads..can you even imagine how painful that is?
It doesn't matter that (you say) 8 dogs are not losing their fur..4 did..badly...and all 12 have mange...clearly not a manageable situation for anyone...she had more than she could handle.
Lyme disease in all 12...they were bitten by ticks...never would have happened if she had put the drops on them to prevent flea and tick bites..12 dogs do not get Lyme disease when they are getting their preventative drops.
I could see with my own eyes how thin they were...did you see their ribs? I did. Again..no excuse for that.
I hear from your posts that you are very angry with the humane society. Even if everything you said was true and correct..it doesn't change the way those dogs were living.
It's easy to lash out when things go wrong, but in this case, I have to say, those dogs did need to be taken out of there.
I'm just saying...please take a step back and look at what the rest of us see. I know it's hard to hear all of these nasty things being said about someone you obviously care for, but on here, it's just words...those dogs had a lot more than words to deal with. They were suffering.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating...that woman has a sickness, she needs help..instead of defending her on here, realize that she has a lawyer and will have her day in court, and put your energy into finding her a good psychologist so no dog, or no family member has to ever go through this again.
there is no excuse for any of this! How the hell did they go to sleep at night? blows my damn mind how this could have happened! was there any family or friends or coworkers of his that ever stopped by? Were they not bright enough to say something or afraid to make that call?

I will NEVER forget about what happened to these innocent dogs, or any of the other animals any where that are abused/neglected. St Francis of Assisi, bless the innocents of this world, let them live in health and peace with love and nurturing!!

In today's OD it was stated that there were many complaints about what is taking so long to charge someone. The DA said it is still being investigated. I think it is a cut and dry case 12 dogs were mistreated, abused, and neglected. End of case. Get out there and charge someone.

As choked up as I sometimes get regarding our animal brethren, rest assured that I for one intend on monitoring this case very closely. I also know that the rescue group,Lainey's Army, are ceaseless advocates for all abused animals, and they are also determined to see justice prevail. They are also monitoring the horrific case of the abused Kittens up in Whitesboro by that POS judge's son. God Bless!!

That case wasn't covered up as long as this one has been. It seems that the name of the abuser was released and the person was charged even though the case is still pending. What gives here??
