My blame with this brain fart isnt with the cop, it is with that
useless police chief Malone. Talk about a cover up. He should be fired for allowing that to happen and then being stupid enough to think nobody would find out. Not the kind of whiz you want heading a police force. Then again this is the same guy that wore blue jeans to his swearing in ceremony. Tell me the writing wasn't on the wall. Lucky for him Howdy Doody Ainsworth wont do a damn thing.

I was just wondering... Which one are you proud of? Have you read the Observer Dispatch newspaper lately, that is if you know how to read! This was in the paper the other day.

Sitterly is the latest among a series of Herkimer police officers to find themselves in trouble with the law:

◦Investigator Robert Risi, 42, currently is serving 1 to 3 years in state prison after he admitted to stealing nearly $16,000 from the Herkimer Police Department’s evidence room to fuel his gambling addiction.

◦Officer Shauna Wright, 40, was charged by state police with second-degree harassment, a violation, in May 2009 following a confrontation with her sister-in-law, Heather Wright, in the parking lot at West Canada High School. Shauna Wright was ticketed to appear in Newport Town Court, but the outcome of that case could not be determined Monday.

Malone acknowledged these incidents involving the three officers have placed a dark cloud over the department.

“Do we suffer a black eye for a while? Yes, but you retain your professionalism and move on,” Malone said.“Everyone has problems in their lives, and we’re obviously held to a higher standard in the public’s eye, so it becomes more of an issue than the people we deal with on a daily basis with these same issues that aren’t police officers.”

The Chief needs to resign and let someone with an education run the department!
so you dont say

Oh I'm well versed in fact. One of those facts is that Joe Malone was a useless piece of shit before this happened, and this only served to underscore that fact. He should be pumping gas somewhere, not running a police department. He obviously hasn't got the brains to do it effectively.

I have no interest in 'scartching' his ass, or doing anything else to it for that matter. Bottom line is neither his department , nor ultimately him, stand out as shining examples of law enforcement at it's finest. HPD has been viewed as corrupt for decades and Malone has done nothing to make anyone think otherwise. Munson Williams security called. They're ready for Joe.

The whole valley is filled with corrupt cops, politicians, lawyers and so on. I beleive its time to vote out our legislator for starts and get people in there with good ethics. The people here are being taken advantage of by a group of individuals who feel they deserve more than the tax payers that provide their income. These people are the scum of the earth. I hope IF they decide to build a new jail, all those idiots get to enjoy a lengthy stay there. That I wouldnt mind paying taxes for! Also, not one of these bad boy cops deserve any kind of sympathy. As a matter of fact ,they should do twice the sentence for their crimes. These cops always seem to get of pretty easy if you ask me.
