the big question in cutting is------will the school snitch-do ads job- do coachs job--your hostess at all sporting events be cut??????
first amendment

United States

#2 Mar 6, 2012
Some of the potential cuts on the table, according to the superintendent’s presentation, are one seventh/eighth grade math (AIS) teacher, one high school English teacher, one high school ELA teacher through retirement, one part-time high school physical education teacher, one social worker, one elementary school teacher through retirement, a part-time art teacher, a part-time music teacher and a part-time assistant superintendent.
Possible additional cuts include junior varsity sports, reducing the number of clubs, cuts in superintendent and maintenance budgets and cleaners for a total of $123,264.
this is a NO effing brainer, besides the retirement to teachers, part time assist. super, super cleaners...
you better not go over the 2.92% cap or you guys on the board are through and fu first u effing pig

The Board already voted and approved to exceed the 2% tax cap (not 2.92% hahaha) if need be. chances are nearly 100% that they will exceed the 2% cap as they will not be able to cut enough not to.

It is inevitable.

As for your last statement, give it a rest. You sound like a pathetic stalker who just cant let it go. sorry she dumped your ass, but its time to move on.

you better wake up. the village went overgovs tax cap, the school is going over tax cap. now look all over the village and town and count the homes for sale. herkimer is going to hell in a hand basket. plus our county is out of controll. with free health care after 2 terms. plus we have to many people in charge.45% OF PEOPLE IN HERKIMER ARE PAYING FOR ALL THE TAXES. look around us there is are dark shadow taking over this village. we are easy pickins. the cadillac of social services, the collage. the larger jail they want to build. get ready to bare arms. and the harc bull shit. buying up homes behind the the old hospital. just turn the village over to the harc, collage and we can all sleep in the new jail.

Honestly, did you believe this 2% tax cap idea pitched by Cuomo was going to help matters? Seriously. He sold the people a Bridge to Nowhere. The tax cap never addresses the root problem, SPENDING. They wrote it with so many loopholes that the very mention of the 2% tax cap is meaningless.

The idea of the tax cap was supposed to go hand in hand with mandate relief.......we all know how much of that has occurred !

I wouldn't put too much stock that figure nor the person who posted it without some reference backing it up. Highly doubtful that $80K figure is even close to accurate for the position named.

many teachers in Herkimer are making around 80,000. That's a big part of the problem. Teachers' unions are sinking the boat.

Then by all means prove this to us instead of just taking your word for it. Certainly you have a link to this information as it is public record. There are a lot of newer teachers in Herkimer and doubtful untenured teachers are making even close to $80K.

Let us know when you find that list of staffing and salaries. Should be interesting to read.
