The deer population has decimated by "Forever Wild". The forest needs to be harvested and managed. Take a look at deer populations in areas where "Forever Wild" classification is not in effect. When logging occurs the deer population is healthy and vibrant. "Forever Wild" has been twisted and manipulated by the high powered environmental lobby, powerful landowners and the NYSDEC as nothing more than blunt instrument to keep their own radical green agenda going in Albany and the Park.

Nuts. I said nothing about destroying the planet. Take your greenie colored glasses off and stop sipping the green Koolaide and get your head out of your arse. Typical, put a big dome up and the only ones allowed in our the "Special People". Deer and most animals like the young developing forest, more food is available. Not that way in the sterile "Forever Wild" mature forest. Is that tough to comprehend?

The truth of the matter is we are protecting a very important piece of lands to a point of destruction. Naturally forest fires cleared and regenerated out forests for us. This in turn allowed fauna and animals to prosper. Now we have suppressed forest fires and allowed growth substantial enough to stop light from entering the forest floor in turn allowing for the food needed by animals to survive. Take it for what it is I live here.and intend to stay here. If you don't and only visit occasionally and don't understand the forest ecosystems you should say nothing.
