I agree with Mr. U. They provide nothing but an opportunity to be snotty, exclusive (in their own minds), condescending, elitist, and unable to abide by the conditions set for their participation. Don't give me the excuse about school pride and supporting their "men". And yes, I was a cheerleader.

Cut Cheerleaders, about 12 teachers, some teachers aids, and the rest of the sports programs. That along with the reserve cash we have. DONE.

fantastic, cut funding for cheerleading. which they will then attempt to fund themselves, and they will be standing outside every store hounding me for money.

Have teachers all take a 10k year pay cut and see who really likes teaching. If they leave then time to let new out of school teachers in.
Nope

We all donate an extra 5000 dollars per household. Since we care so much about the kids we won't mind this option. Huh?

Newly graduated teachers with 60-80k in school loans aren't going to be any more thrilled about working for 23k-33k than the teachers you already have

New teachers can barely survive at 35k...this idea comes from the uninformed or down right stupid.

When the cheerleading program is cut you can drown your sorrows in Brookwood Park with the rest of the athletic program and extra curricular program kids. With a half day of school that hangover thing will be nothing to overcome.

Has the East Herkimer moms buy your booze for you, they owe you big.

I say raise school taxes tenfold. I can afford it and I'm perfectly willing to pay it. Nobody needs your dime.
