Does anyone know for sure why the building was abandoned and vacant?? I remember just a few short years ago there were tenants in the upstairs apartments while Glory Days was still in business. And why did Glory Days go out of business? I shot pool there a few times and remember it was pretty decent-looking inside. Does anyone know anything about this place?? Like who owned it last?

It's condemned. Many tenants screwing with the supporting structure fked the building up.

Rende owned Mc Gills long before Glory Days ever existed.

Mark was in the Glory Days/Rende's/Herkimer Hotel building before 1990 long before he got into Mc Gills.

Mc Gill's predates the business known as Glory Days. Fact.

Actually, you're just upset that I school you on everything you post. I own you. BTW, you don't own a home in Herkimer.

haha ... the only thing you've ever been right on is using the name "wrong" because that's exactly what you are -- WRONG WRONG WRONG. you were wrong in your characterization of the fiscal responsibilities of a nursing home administrator and you're wrong about Glory Days.

well, you are sort of right that I don't own "a" home in Herkimer -- in fact I own several. unfortunately my apartments are not for rent to Section 8 lowlifes like you, so look elsewhere when your Ma finally kicks you out of her basement.

Then I own everything you claim you do since you pay your taxes to me.

Not sure what this has to do with a nursing home administrator. Must be you crying about another poster who OWNED you! Why do you bother coming on Topix when you constantly get bitch slapped and corrected all the time?

BTW, Glory days was started long after Mr. Mc Gill's was. Are you going to claim it wasn't? This response ought to be priceless!

Who asked you if Mc Gill's predates Glory Days???

Mark Rende was on Main St. in Herkimer in 1990 running a bar called "Rende's". Mark opened Mc Gill's years later. I'm not offering this info up for argument or debate because there is none.

Holy Sh*t people!! I was only asking if anyone knew why Glory Days went out of business and why the upstairs apartments have been empty for years. How could a former tenant do so much damage to one of the apartments that none of the apartments were inhabitable any longer??? You're saying that the actions of one tenant in one of the apartments caused the building to become condemned?? Do you really know what you're talking about or are you just guessing?? So, what did this person(s)do to the building to cause it to become condemned?? Take a chain saw to its support beams?? Hmmm-it's still standing though.

I neither know nor care who started what dumpy ginmill when and didn't say that I did. I do not patronize dives like Mr. McGill's. You on the other hand are probably a regular at Pete's.

Like I said, everything this assclown says is misinformation or based on his misinterpretations. Unfortunately that renders him unemployable and ergo we hard-working taxpayers foot the bill for the gallons of Mountain Dew he buys with his food stamps.

"Chainsaw"??? Pretty much...yes.

When you entered the G.H./Rende's there was a large stairway leading to the upstairs appartments/rooms. Subsequent tenants cut the stairs out and made other structual changes without consulting anyone with structural knowledge. The internal structure of the building has dropped several inches fking up the entire building.I understand attempts to raise the structure have been fruitless.

the tenants did not cut the stairs out, the owner of the building had it removed in order to separate the living space from the business space. Matter of fact, I believe they were required to do this.

that building never has been condemned.

I make lots more money that you do. You claim to own all these properties in Herkimer so that makes you the bigggest slumlord out there. Not a proud distinction! Bet all of your tenants hate you and they are all Section 8'ers! You're such a lowlife.

I have not misinterpreted nor given any misinformation on anything at all and so far, you haven't proven otherwise.

Can't stand Mountain Dew and have never received food stamps in my life.

I highly doubt you make more money than I do. Chances are I paid more in income tax last year than you made in income.

And you don't misinterpret? Ha, above you say I claimed "to own all these properties..."

No, assclown. I said "several" properties.

"all these properties" and "several properties" would be interchangeable and identical statements since they express properties in a plural state. Looks like that poster PWNED you, AGAIN! Too funny!

It is always pathetically weak when one pounds their chest with "I probably paid more in taxes than your income". Sure you did!
