Teachers deserve what ever pensions they can fund with thier OWN money. No more taxpayer monety should be used to fund one dime of teacher pensions

That's awesome. We can tell you are not a teacher. Can't spell, and its whatever and their not thier. If you don't like the teachers why don't you home school your own kids? That way they can be as big a dumb ass as you are LOL.

Teachers are working welfare. They get money for hanging around and Bit$$ing and they dont get drug and alcohol tested.

Ed, Mary, and Cathy, if teachers have it so great,
then I don't understand why you three didn't jump
on the "band wagon" and become teachers? Does it
have anything to do with going to college for
five years and getting a Master's Degree? Sounds
like "sour grapes" to me.

There should be no "taxpayer" funded pensions. Let them open a 401k. Govt. is out of control.

Our teacher asked what my favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried Chicken."
She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else laughed.
My parents told me to always tell the truth. I did. Fried Chicken is my favorite animal.
I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals .......very much.
I do,too. Especially chicken, pork and beef. Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office.
I told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again.
The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was.
I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, so I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.
She sent me back to the principal's office. He laughed, and told me not to do it again.
I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am.
Today,my teacher asked me to tell her what famous person I admired most.
I told her, "Colonel Sanders." Guess where I am now...

i. I agree with ole timer. A person with a masters degree with a good pension, what a novel idea. Although I don't know too many teachers retired or otherwise that own Cadillacs. Teachers you have my respect

Sorry, Cathy, but teachers in Public Schools are providing a public service, and their pensions are also publicly supported. That's the way it is, whether you like it or not.

True! Maybe not directly funded by taxpayers, but by the employers, who make their money by selling their products to consumers, who then indirectly help pay for the pensions.

For this reason alone...Dealing with the youth today, with all the limitations we have put on their ability to discipline, they deserve every penny.
