Sorry. I didn't realize you could look out the window of your mobile home and into the future. Let's say for the sake of argument the tax cap isn't raised. In that case I will simply do what everyone else with a good job does and contribute to the booster clubs. The money earmarked for extracurriculars can be funneled back into academics. Stop whining. Things aren't going to be any different this year in Herkimer than they have been in years past.
Amazed you could even write something so stupid. Well I guess you need to believe this. But your just delaying the realization you made a monumental blunder.

The future will be coming to your doorstep next week. I'm on the committee and I've seen the future, it isn't good. You don't have the money to make the slightest difference and your fellow taxpayers are going to be pissed.

right- You're "right"; you said no one ever
looks at "D" schools. I simply said that Mike
Hart played at a "D" school. Someone must have
looked at him. Point taken?

The people that pushed the no vote have disappeared. Why? I believe it's for two reasons. ONE, some were pawns and really were tricked. TWO, the others knew taxes would need to be raise a ridiculous amount just to survive and an astronomical amount to have what Ilion/Mohawk are going to have. But instead of telling us the truth they tricked us and now we are in a spot. They are hoping to force us to pay taxes we can't afford and they can.
I was not tricked and will not be forced to pay. The tax cap will need to be raised. You're not getting my vote to raise anything.
Why? Because they won. So stop running around in circles flapping your wings Chicken Little. The Sky didn't fall. BAWK BAWK BAWK BAWK BAWK!!!!!!!!!

You tell'em, we won and all is wonderful in herkimer. Programs will be added and the increase in taxes won't be noticeable. The kids and taxpayers owe us a huge debt for all we've done. Wait till that budget comes out, that will shut those pro's up.

Everyone acts like Herkimer and Frankfort are in financial trouble, they are not. Taxes will be raised as they always have and we'll be fine. The people steering the Herkimer were a smart group and I would follow them blindly again.

Really ??? Sweet !!!! Somebody who writes checks ! Frankfort is so financially well off, they canceled spring sports. I am sure the kids will appreciate your kind and generous donation ! Don't have the exact amount they need, but Herkimer needs $1.3M. You could probably round it off to $1.8M and that should suffice !

the actual Village of Ilion is not any bigger than the Village of Herkimer. You are confusing the Village of Ilion with the SCHOOL DISTRICT of Ilion which covers a greater area than just the village.

Not too bright are you?

Village of Herkimer square miles 2.59

My friends told me the governor has plenty of money for education and the merger study is bull. They said the merger was a big scam to line pockets if they saw the money at all. I understand when the budgets come out I'll be happy I listened and voted no. All of my neighbors up here voted no.

So the kids don't get the best of the best for a few years, it's bound to bounce back sooner or later. And then we still have our identity.

Your kids perform in the bottom 10% of all high schools in upstate NY. There is no "best" to that and that IS your identity.

Well I went to school here and I want my kid to go here. So what if it cost me more money and he doesn't get the best in high school education. It seems over a thousand of us voted no. My kids only going to HCCC anyway and I can do a couple of hours a week for my brother-inlaw to make up the taxes.

It's embarrassing trying to explain why you voted no. Seriously I feel like an asshool. How do these dumb fks do it?

You KNOW your kids is getting fked education wise. It's not a guess it's a fact. You KNOW your taxes are going up, again a fact. It could end up worse than that, like losing your school all together and having no say when you're sucked up. And you vote no and try to argue your point??? OMG

So what ????? Your kid going to HCCC getting a 2 year degree that won't be worth the paper it is written on in 15-20 years only gives taxpayers a future generation of the perpetually unemployed. We have a valley full of that already !

I have no problem with folks voting it down and willing to pay the consequences.......but understand that the consequences are in the millions per year, not a few bucks here and there.
