Herkimer median income 23 k slightly over what government gives out...18 k is the handout...so for a podunk town that is sad and shows the mentality of the situation they are in....ilion median income 43k and double the size of herkimer shows how dumb you really are...numbers don't lie so pontificating otherwise is comical...

Really ??? Sweet !!!! Somebody who writes checks ! Frankfort is so financially well off, they canceled spring sports. I am sure the kids will appreciate your kind and generous donation ! Don't have the exact amount they need, but Herkimer needs $1.3M. You could probably round it off to $1.8M and that should suffice !

the actual Village of Ilion is not any bigger than the Village of Herkimer. You are confusing the Village of Ilion with the SCHOOL DISTRICT of Ilion which covers a greater area than just the village.

My friends told me the governor has plenty of money for education and the merger study is bull. They said the merger was a big scam to line pockets if they saw the money at all. I understand when the budgets come out I'll be happy I listened and voted no. All of my neighbors up here voted no.

Well I went to school here and I want my kid to go here. So what if it cost me more money and he doesn't get the best in high school education. It seems over a thousand of us voted no. My kids only going to HCCC anyway and I can do a couple of hours a week for my brother-inlaw to make up the taxes.

So what ????? Your kid going to HCCC getting a 2 year degree that won't be worth the paper it is written on in 15-20 years only gives taxpayers a future generation of the perpetually unemployed. We have a valley full of that already !

I have no problem with folks voting it down and willing to pay the consequences.......but understand that the consequences are in the millions per year, not a few bucks here and there.
