Referendum vote for Ilion-Mohawk school merger likely next month

To just saying: LOL. Actually LMFAO. You still don't get that he WILL automatically be chosen. It will be a mock vote by the new board because they are not going to hire someone else and run the risk with high probability to also have to pay out Cosimo's entire contract with all of its clauses, which by law that's what they would have to do. And I don't know in which one of your wet dreams you imagined your figures, but you better check them before you get out your fine china to celebrate, because they are not right. But that's not Herkimer's problem anymore. After all is said and done the Ilion-Mohawk merger will go through because it only benefits Ilion and Mohawk simply has no choice. So both will vote for it. The marriage will last because there is no divorcing here. But it won't be pretty after the honeymoon to Water Safari is over, because even in the first few years there won't be as much money left over as you are being sold to do all the things that you are being promised. And after the first few years it will need to be made up in higher taxes for a greedier and more wasteful school.

Ilion is the key to the incentive money. With Herkimer out...the incentive money is cut by "less than" a third. Get it, "less than."

Herkimer is screwed this year over a 1 million shortfall. Ilion and Mohawk will be receiving over 4 million "a year" for the next five years and they have municipal power. As if they really needed Herkimer's debts, National Grid and kids to complicate things for less than a third.

The bottom line is better with an Ilion-Mohawk merger. Remember they didn't invite Herkimer or Frankfort, they asked to be included. Ilion and Mohawk threw them a rope. Herkimer was getting a deal and a group of moron's screwed their own town.

As for the Superintendent's position, it is open to all applicants. Cosmo does not have a guaranteed position. Also I strongly believe whoever gets the position will not be getting a raise. All raises need to be voted on by the BOE.

You are correct about one thing and I'm sure it was an accident...Cos's resume will like great if he ever needs it. He has shown the intelligence and foresight push forward with merger discussions in two separate districts. And "this" merger process has been a bitch. These studies have cause Tangorra an added uncompensated work load and put his on lively hood in jeopardy if passed. I believe Tangorra has shown initiative and character. Great for a resume, don't ya think?

What merger have you been a part of ? I pay taxes in merged school districts and comparing their budget with yours, I am wondering who the idiot is. I believe that was PRIOR to Cos spending ALL of the district's Reserve Fund balance in order to balance this year's budget. The district is broke.

Ilion remains in the best financial shape of the four valley schools. In July Mohawk and Ilion will be by farrrrrrrrr in the best financial shape. Aren't you happy for the kids? It's all about the kids right?
