These guys were human. Just like all of the rest of us. And not a single one of us is perfect. I took time to talk to them become a friend, even gave them loose change and small money to keep them out of the road collecting cans. if you ever had a chance to sit and talk to them you would of understood that they were doing the best that they could with the resources that they had. Jimmy had a heck of a incident with being struck by a car. you should of talked to him about surviving that. I won't miss him hitting me up for money whenever he saw me. I didn't mind giving him a couple bucks, but when he would ask me to do better than that, I got fed up. Anybody who could bike as much as him could have worked for a living.

They both were good people. Jim couldn't work because of the 3 rods in his leg and the plate that was in his pelvis area. He rode his bike because that was his transportation. He was on full disability that's why he did not have a job. I heard that he died of a heart attack.

That one is for Danny. I am sorry to hear the news of Jim passing. A fellow that never had it easy. I spent many hours over the years chatting with Jim the General Seaman. Jim went to his grave without fear or pretense. A rough dude with a kind heart and a true sense of humor. I don't know how Jim survived for so long, except that he was much stronger than probably any of us. Jim woke up each day and made it through. Usually with people around, many of which were actual friends. Something few of us have truly. Herkimer will be far less colorful without the General. It saddens me to know how hurt and hard some people's hearts must be to take joy in the death of a person that lived the life Jim did. I hope someday you all learn something about the value of life, maybe even from someone like Jim, before your time comes. The day comes for us all. People will always be left behind to say what they will. I suppose "in the end, only kindness matters." I hope the best for all of you that are so low you have to pick on Jim Seaman. Your life must be truly sad. Funny thing is, Jim would have given you his last beer, well maybe not his Last beer, but he would have given you friendship even as you spit in his face.
